Talking Update

Here is an updated executable. It has a visual switch button now to switch through all the visuals you have in the visual folder. Try it out and let me know what you guys think...

EDIT: I uploaded the zip without all the required files. Sorry! Please download again if you have done so already.

did you change the media folder? If it doesnt find any files in the media directory it crashes on boot. If you look closely at the error message it mentions that it must be a nonnegative value and I'm assuming > 0.

Try removing the media.xml and adding some files.

ok i figured out the reason it gave me the could not get interface error was because a dvd was in my dvdrom drive, which it apparently doesnt like at all.

We do require that DirectX 8.1 and above is installed. On the download page it says no requirements. This was based on the fact that Windows XP comes with 8.1 installed. This is a bad assumption since people will still need DirectX 8.1 on Windows 98 and Windows 2000.

Tribaldaze, can you give me more specifics on your machine specs? Also, do you have more then one sound card installed?

Where do you see the problem being? When you play videos mostly? All over the place? Thanks for the feedback.

We will integrate anything that has an SDK / API and of interest to our users.

Just through the visuals. It really depends on the visual im using. Some use less resources than others. Theres no slowdown on other parts of the program.

ok I installed it... but having issues.

I have around 60 gigs of music, when I open it, it starts to create a database then pukes... the "such and such encountered an error" error.

So I go it and pull all the music out but about a gig, all is fine, loads up nicely, so I start copying music back, however it doesn't add the newly copied music to the database. I'm stuck with only being able to access the original folder that it built on first execution.

Don't know, this is a major deal breaker for me, and it was the same problem I experienced with the first release.

Isn't it supposed to add music on the fly? Is there any way to make it rebuild the database and not die in the process?

Other then that I really like the way it looks..

Hi.

I only have one question. Will this software be able to read video files like ripped DVD files (VOB files from the hard disk) what about DIVx and AVI.

Thanks
