PROBLEM:
I have just recived a motherboard I had ordered off your webstore, after installing it into my computer the video card is dead. I have tried a couple of monitors and many cables however, it still has vertical lines and color distortion. I was wondering how a resolve this issue.
Troubleshooting 1:
Can you see the Bios post? Are there lines there or do the lines only show up after the OS has loaded?
If it is windows, and you can see the bios post, try booting in safe mode and re-installing the drives. Do you have any motors or magnets near your cable? Are you using an LCD or CRT display?
Troubleshooting 1 Response:
In the Bios post it only appears as small "flickers". After windows starts the vertical lines appear with color distortion and more "flickering". I have tried it on both a LCD and CRT, I do not have any magnets near the cables, motherboard or monitors; I have also reinstalled the drivers.
Troubleshooting 2:
Can you run this by the Intel motherboard support team? 'crmotherboard@mailbox.intel.com'? Motherboards either normally work or they don't. It sounds like there is some other issue in your computer. What power supply are you using?

SOLUTION:
Thank you for your help with the matter of my motherboard. After a few more tries of installing the video drivers I was able to figure out the problem. I eventually had to download then burn them onto a CD and load them that way. I am assuming that the CD that was sent with the unit was not correct; for whatever reason this was the only way I was able to resolve the issue. Thank you again.
