True but, for $20.00, I'll give my business to mp3car.com. Plus, as I mentioned earlier, I'm looking for a full package with the board, CPU, and fan...and support to go along with it.

oh okay then, I understand. since I already have the parts to move over to the next board, All I have to buy is the board. which is only $114 http://www.provantage.com/intel-boxdg45id~7ITSP0KR.htm since I already used a core duo processor. You should try pricing all the parts together and see if theirs is close or more in price.

Thanks for the business and the loyalty. Just to be clear, our boards are the BLK (Bulk, OEM) boards. No fan or CPU is included. This was in the description yesterday. Hopefully you didn't miss it. Sometime soon we will fill in the rest of the specs.
The main reason we are stocking bulk boards is they are slightly cheaper, and most people will probably want a lower profile fan for this board (once a lower profile fan is identified). A low profile fan will be required to use a case like the morex 5677.

I thought I would also clarify that this provantage board you link to is a MICRO atx board not a mini-itx.

Anytime...you guys have earned it. I do understand that this is the board only (no CPU, no fan) but, I also understood that, sometime in the future, you folks plan to offer a package of this MB, CPU and fan. When that happens, I'll be ready to buy. In rereading my previous post, I can see how it could be taken differently. I meant that, since I'm more interested in a package, I'd rather deal with a more full-service company, like mp3car.com instead of someplace that's offering "the lowest price in town".

I'm just too old to spend my evenings trying to figure out which CPU would work best and, based on that CPU, what kind of fan I should choose from the 7,000 options out there.

Hey guys/gals...it's been a while...hope all is well.
What's the story on the Flying Creek board...or board/CPU/fan packages?
I'm still interested (still having all kinds of USB issues with my AOpen board).

we had looked at the package and thought that no one from the forums would be interested in the package deal, as it is pricey. ok - i will check on this at our meeting tomorrow and post back.

I went cheap with what I have...and it doesn't work well so, I'm not opposed to a little "pricey".

I just wanted to post that I FINALLY picked up the Intel DG45FC motherboard. I put an E5200 (2.5 GHz Dual-Core) processor on it, 2GB of DDR2 RAM, and stuck it all in an M350 Mini-ITX case with an M2 power supply. I was able to fit the M2 in the front of the M350 case (the case has a compartment up front for a power switch and a couple of USB devices...I removed the mini circuit board and had to do a little Dremeling). I put a couple of pairs of MP3Car.com's USB header pigtails and wow...such a nice package!
I went from the computer box and a separate power supply (CarNetix CNX-P1900)...and only 2 USB ports...to everything in one neat little package with 10...count-em...10!!! USB ports.
Sweet!
I highly recommend this board to anyone looking for a CarPC setup. Nice package, easy to configure, and not crazy-expensive.
