We have a discussion with Intel about Linux in their car, reference designs, and some of the challenges of getting computers in the car.

I liked the Intel video where they talked about the install using Wind River. When I looked them (Wind River) up, I couldn't find that much info. They have a demo you can download from their site, but it looks like they are going to be pretty expensive (their other stuff doesn't look like it's free).

The whole 5 watt computer in the dash thing is pretty amazing. My system is currently at 80 watts I could imagine winding down that far. There would be no reason to turn it off.

Infill has died ? As I'm planning to use a G4 on my next install, I would be very interested to know if that's really true. I cannot find any other post mentioning this here on the board.
regards,
jics

Infill is not making computers anymore. We do have one used unit which will get sold in the bargain basement or ebay sometime soon.
