Thats the one thing that was missing from the box, lol I had to go to the website to get the display drivers. Also the Cam and Mic installed, but touchscreen no.... I see it in device manager. but it has a exclamation mark on it.

allright, found a spot that you should be able to get it.
http://www.thegadgeteers.com/product_mimo.html in the right sidebar
"Newer XP/Vista 32/64-bit Touch Driver 1/09" that one should do it.

OK, I found the drivers. It seems to be working. The WebCam and Microphone are useless. The HUB will say that 2 USB devices can not be recognized and installed. I figured its the cam and mic since they arent working.

OK, today my little bro is bringing his HD camcorder, so I will start recording my progress. I am still lost on what type of battery to use. I was going to use a Gateway battery because of it small size, but it has like 6 tiny little pins on it, and I dont know what is what.

Use your meter to measure the pins. That is what I did with my 6-10 pin battery. Draw off the connectors that test out as the primary voltage (marked on the battery)
I soldered the end of the wires with a big "ball" of solder on the end.
I used pliers to squash them down until they fit in the connectors.
This in effect made a "custom male spade" connector.
I used a tad of shrink tube up to the makeshift spade to make sure it didn't short on anything.
If this was a final install you might want to block off the unused pins, label stuff, or make a quick release harness using some male/female crimp connectors and a few inches of spare wire.

HiJack - I'm so excited to see the pics/vids and so glad you are doing this.
I wish I could figure out a way to use the Mimo with the iPhone. And that's it. There has to be a way - right? Maybe not. I hate being ignorant on this stuff.

How do you go about charging the battery though? Also, what about batteries for like power tools, you think those would be as effiecient as Laptop batteries? Im going to go ahead and buy a voltmeter, but let me ask, how do you find ground, will be be the one thats zero or something?

Someone will find a way to make the touchscreen work with an iPhone, this seems to be a huge thing right now (I think im the only one thats 100% anti-apple). My little brotehr recently built a MAC rig that has 8GB of RAM and some good awful huge graphics card that so big he had to cut a hole in the back of the case for it to fit, and thats all he talks about, I dont even want to eat the fruit because Im so sick of it. Anyways, lol, back to the screen.

Your little bro needs to post that!
Wish more iPhone users were playing around with this stuff. There has to be a way to tweak a cord to make this work on this monitor. I'm anxious.
I keep envisioning the Mimo without cords. If the Wireless USB is successful, will you try to crack it open to see about nuking the cords or doing something internal to pretty that up? Course then how would it be powered.

If you don't mind spending a few extra bucks, you should look into getting an external lithium ion battery that's used for charging USB devices or an external battery for PSPs (something like this: http://www.uxcell.com/external-lithi...00-p-1436.html) - note: I have no experience with any of these and only spent 2 minutes googling before finding that one - there's probably better
You wouldn't have to worry about a DC-DC power supply or something to charge the laptop battery you're currently planning on using.
This project is really neat, I can't wait for videos and such of it
