With most standard monitors you would probably want tinted windows. You could also buy a sunlight readable display if you don't want to tint your windows.

It will run smoothly at first, but after awhile the screen will freeze and you have to unplug it. It seems if there is alot going on with the screen then it starts to lag. I have to assume because something moving requires more information to be passed through the wireless and the reciever or hub is missing info. Also people in the past have stated that these USB screens are of equal or better quality when it comes to picture. I 100% dissagree, VGA, DVI, HDMI, are the best looking outputs.

I got the HD Camera so I will make the video today!

damn..

it probably have something to do with the bandwidth.. or heat (if it works well sometime)

GUWH204KIT has wider bandwidth (I am not sure is this device designed for multimedia purposes..)

does mimo screen have own power connector or does it take power from the USB port?
it means helluva power consumption if it takes from the USB.. (it probably heats the USB HUB.. that might causes the errors)

everything is through USB, i think thats cool though, because its only one wire to worry about. it could also be an issue with my pc we will know when i try it in the car!

I wish I could figure out a way to use the Mimo with the iPhone. And that's it. There has to be a way - right? Maybe not. I hate being ignorant on this stuff.

I am not sure what do you mean, but there is different kinds of VNC and RDP softwares..

How are you with this "wireless touch screen"?

just wondering, that is there any delay between picture and sound?
(are the lips and the voice in sync?)

My bad, I am so busy that I have not had time to do anything with this. In fact I am passing the project back to FO. I made the video and all, but have not had time to edit it and put it together. My PC install has been evolving in such a dramatic way that it takes alot of my time. I currently redid all my wiring that consists of over 50+ wires and all of it had to be run under the carpeting to get a clean look, and I didn't have the luxury of removing the interior. Now one wire has been messed up and I am blowing a fuse, so now i have to track down the wire. I guess in a way, I thought this would be cool in the car, but then I found it easier to simply add more screens to the car itself. I still think this is a good idea for a media PC system.

The screen worked very good over the wireless. Only thing that doesn't work is sound and web cam, which the hub says wont work on the packaging. The touchscreen and screen itself work almost perfectly. I did have occasional freezes, but I think that was from my PC (has USB issues).

2 weeks ago, I thought this would be a cool idea, I just had no way to implement it(I wanted a remote that displayed song info). now, I am thinking of combining the 2 ideas with a standard touchscreen--the wireless vga for video, and the wireless hub for touchscreen duties, and possibly remote device plugin.
as hijack said, he had some problems with video locking up, so the mimo might not be the best route.
maybe once my computer is built(in the next 2 weeks), I will play around some more with this idea..
thanks fiberoptic, and hijack for all your time!

I don't like to kill ideas, but once I started to work on this project, I thought it would be cool in the beginning. Then issues came up that I didn't like. First off passing the thing around seems mediocre. Second is having to recharge it. I would have to haul it out my car every time to recharge the battery. Third, it was just easier to simply add more screens to my install, built into the car. Now everyone has their own dedicated screen. Only thing I can see this being good for is for presentation, say your at a car meet and not everyone wants or can fit in the car, then you pull that out and what not.
