More or less calling the OP a liar about how much money he spent to get the screen. Honest mistake not taking into consideration import fees n taxes n junk. But a little offensive nevertheless.

@Armine: Integrating that into the store would be AWESOME! Even if it's just a little pic that is on the product page. Like a little image that says "Bleeding Edge Technology, click for more info" or something. I wouldn't go as far as saying it's a "prototype production" unit or anything, just something that says newest products/models could possibly have quirks, etc, intended for expert/advanced users/installers, along those lines. Hell maybe an addition to the wiki would be good too.

Also including trying to communicate w/ the OP via his thread rather than phone or email. This included "we haven't heard form you in x days", where is your address, etc... Best thing to do with these things is handle them via a semi private form of communication, such as email, phone or snail mail, rather than broadcast via an internet forum.

The OP is the one who brought it onto the forum. And Armine did say she had tried to contact the OP privately with no luck, so I have to disagree with you on that point.

Hi,

just wanted to tell you guys, that I got my money back from MP3Car.
(inluding the shipping costs I paid to recieve the device)
After sending them my complete bank-account-information, the money arrived very fast.

I just want to point out, that I'm not really mad at MP3Car.
Of course I was pi$$ed - I paid a lot of money for a device that first arrived broken... then I waited over 1/2 year...
I didn't get the mail from MP3Car where they told me, that the MDT is no longer availible - well... sometimes, emails just don't reach their destination - we all know that.

I didn't sent my bank-account-information right away, when armine told me to do so in this thread - but I first wanted to check with the german toll-and-taxes-guys (customs duty office?) if there is a chance (a specific procedure) to get the taxes back - that took a while (not gonna get any of that money back, btw)

I myself own a little IT company and I know how it feels, if customers are pi$$ed, because "you sold them crappy parts". That's why I stayed pretty patient and didn't complain all the time (normally I'm really NOT like that )

I think we all learned a lesson due to this case.

MP3Car might tell customers upfront if they try to order 'cutting-edge' technology
and
the people who read this thread might want to do some research first on the products, they gonna order.

I try not to think about how much money and time I wasted... but hey... sometimes $hit just happens - I think we all know that too.
