MP3 Car support lacking?

Have any of you had any problem with MP3 Car store support? I had a large issue a year ago, so for the next year I didn't purchase anything.

Now I purchased a Carnetix last week from MP3car and it didn't work. I have contact MP3 car as well as Carnetix (which now goes to Mp3car as well) three days ago and have yet to receive a response. Has anyone else had this issue?

I also had issues with my Carnetix 2140. It fried my usb devices. I did get a RMA# within a day after I emailed store@mp3car.com. I'll keep you updated on my progress.

Certainly we take risks getting niche products for this hobby. I guess they don't have the volume to offer the customer service of bigger guys that will just ship you out new replacement products immediately (like my Treo or Kensington usb hub or Cannon printer recently) without much question or need of turnaround time.

Thread moved to customer comments section.

I've posted an alert on this in the mod forum. They're usually pretty responsive. I'm sure they'll take care of it.

You did email the store@mp3car.com address, and followed the guidelines here, right?

This year they have been rather responsive to me. I exchange a screen I bought for a larger one with much expediency on MP3's part, (thank you!!!), and the other is a broken power supply that is still being fixed.

Thanks for the quick response Bug. It wasn't a knock on you by any means (In fact you are usually lightning fast)

I did follow the guidelines as well. Thank you for the assistance.

Our Carnetix expert has been out of the office for a few days. Expect a reply by the end of the day tomorrow.

Have sent a few emails now asking about CarNetix distributors in Australia, as both the Aus and New Zealand dealers listed both told me they no longer deal with the products.

Have heard nothing back.

Am I to assume that I simply buy from the mp3car store as there are no longer any distributors of CarNetix in my part of the world?

thanks

marin

Marin - We have two issues here -

Issue 1 - You need to buy carnetix stuff in Australia. There are no distributors in Australia anymore. I will suggest that the carnetix website get an update. We ship all of over the globe and would love to send you a unit.

Issue 2 - You didn't get an e-mail back from us. Our store has no inbound e-mail from your domain "labyrinth.net.au". I checked our postini spam filter all the way back to march 11th and it dosen't appear to be in there either. If you want to work on this issue some more, please private message me directly and we can get this worked out.

When I bought the M4, and had issues with it, they didn't want anything to do with it...they sent me to deal with the manufacturer instead. I thought that was kinda lame...

I found your e-mail in our spam queue. keypoint.com.au is your domain.

This domain uses the mail server with an ip of 203.62.135.45...checked the black lists and your mail server comes up clean. It seems like postini is getting a little intense. I am going to throttle back the spam detection to a less aggressive setting.

We had a 30 day return policy on ituner product. that has now been extended to 365 days from the order date on ituner and Lilliput product only. All other items, unless specifically stated have a 30 day warranty.

Thanks for the reply Fiberoptic, and appreciate your effort in going through all your spam folders etc to find my emails.

I will order direct from mp3car.
