Subforums in forums.
Can all the names of the subforums of a 'products' forum be prefixed with something to indicate which forum it is a subforum of.
e.g.
Fusion Brain has subforums, one of which is software, can that (and all Fusion Brain subforums) be prefixed with FB, ie FB Software.
The reason I ask, is when you view the posts from New Posts all you see is the title and the subforums name. And I continually start to reply to a post and then realise it is in a fourm to which my answer will not apply.
Cheers
E.

Okay, let's see what that would look like:
Hardware has 3 subforums. How about:
Hardware - User Innovations
Hardware - Bluetooth Hardware
Hardware - Fusion Brain
Hardware - FB - Sensors
Hardware - FB - Skins
Hardware - FB - Outputs
Hardware - FB - Documentation and Tutorials
You mean like that? Or a little less detailed like this:
User Innovations
Bluetooth hardware
Fusion Brain
FB - Sensors
FB - Skins
FB - Outputs
FB - Documentation and Tutorials

I think the second version is cleaner and more consistent with other forums with sub forums like RoadRunner.
I looked at the other forums/subforums and there are a few that wouldn't make sense to do it this same way but I don't think they present confusion when topics are posted in them. As long as we can come up with a way to do a decent abbreviation for future products, I think we'll be okay.

So what would be best to do, for making these changes? Should we be going back and renaming the sub-forums with the abbreviations?

Following up on this request - is it okay for me to go ahead and rename the forums as we discussed? I want to close out this suggestion -I think I dropped the ball on it.

I don't think you'll find any complaints from the peanut gallery, unless that's meant for the boss... Somneone's doing "Fall cleaning"

I think we dropped the ball. But if you wouldn't mind doing it, that would be great. Thanks.

Will someone just do it already, instead of just chatting about doing it.
otherwise just give me the keys and I'll do it myself

Okay, done. Just wanted to make certain we didn't bust any links or take people by surprise.
