If we could force a popup that looks like a file download from IE, I bet everyone would click on it.

LOOKING FOR THE FAQ? IT'S HERE.
You never found that link, did you? Why? It's hard to find in the NavBar across the top of the forums, amongst a lot of other crap.

TELL MP3CAR YOU WANT A LINK TO THE FAQ IN A MORE OBVIOUS, NOTICABLE LOCATION HERE.

TFCommanderBob is an unknown quantity at this point
I found the link prior to asking questions a few months ago, but only because I looked through other posts and found references to FAQ. I never saw it in top list of links, I even had to look twice to see it after I knew to look for it. Also, FAQ as a title has been dumbed down to me by the way its used on other sites. It's usually info that any idiot should already know, like how to plug something in or hit the on button, but they put it up anyway on the off chance that someone will benefit. In this case, its actually quite valuable information that answers frequently asked questions. So I understand why it is named what it is, but feel that the representation of the phrase "FAQ" has been changed by its use.

It should really be its own link in its own place, and be more visible. How-To's, CarPC-101, Getting Started, DIY's, something like that would be more appropriate. As for placement, if you can't find a visible place at the top, it could even be a pass through page so when you click Forum Home you get a 5 second redirect page with a link to the FAQ section and a sentence about where to find the link later. Perhaps that's a bit drastic, but surely it will reduce the number of "covered" questions.
