technically for a more effective RFP from marketing prospective you (mp3car guys) might want to give more info on who is your target market. Is it formum readers who dont look up top at all or is it brand recognition campaighn. Where will it be used, what are expected benefits of new image? (or u just got bored and want something new)
Every corparate representation should b supported by business idea. Just my input of scope of job...
Nevertheless, if i dont forget I will ask my designer to scatch something up

Let's keep this going a bit - these are really interesting designs.
If we are going to really change things, i think the design would need to include mobile computing..
I might as well share publicly the logos i had created by our graphic designer a few weeks ago - i had asked them not to change too much, but rather to clean up our logo. We started in orange but i requested blue as well, to see if maybe blue was a better fit. The forum mods selected the second logo down.
I just had the blue logo created the other day... Attachment 55855

That was just a quick draft of what I thought would be a good idea. I will begin working on it further if you like the concept. How long will the Logo Contest be open?

I updated this a little.. Does this seem like a step in the right direction, or getting a little too cartoony?

Nice idea, but
1. It is just indecipherable.
2. Doesn't really represent computers, more circuit board and electronics
3. There is a three, but I can't think of it just yet.

I like the first one more...the second is too busy. But the mp3Car.com should be a lot more visible.
Here are some photos, albeit bad quality of motherboards (the first is my clipboard made out of recycled motherboard) to give some ideas.
thanks for this idea and your work.

I think what you mean is a simple design but let the mp3 part pup up more, maybe a good concept would be to light up the mp3 part, like its on fire (something like We sell hot products)
As a flash file you could make a spark run aling the circut and than have an afterglow on the mp3 part.
Something like this but than better.

pyrothegreen, do your thing and light it up and than

Nah, still not feeling it.
Looks like something you would use to test if someone was colour blind or not.

I'm thinking a wireframe car that either morphs into a circuit board layout or that is running on a track that is a circuit trace. Here is a very crude version of something in the direction of what I am suggesting. Someone do it and send me half the prize.

POST #2, the first one didnt post!
I like the logo.....
Heather:
Are there any ohter things we have to take into concideration? I mean the logo cant be to complicated, otherwise printing, like for stationary and what not will use more supplies. Also if the logo has to be printed in black and white, it may look ugly. Right now the current MP3car logo looks good, is simple and looks good no matter how you print it.
