Your recommendation is to use Google chrome to prevent Google's safe browsing alerts? Im assuming that was a typo because I had to stop using chrome until the issue was fixed.

That was based on my own experiences. Chrome was the only browser that let the CSS render so the site was usable.
But it doesn't matter now, google is back on our side.

Look, Google Chrome's spellchecker thinks Google is a misspelt word, so it proves one part of Google does not talk to another

This isn't going to result in constant CAPTCHA's all over the site every time we try to post/search/login/browse/zoom/unzoom/logout/logup/logdown/upload/download etc. does it?
