If anyone would like to meet up Friday night (the 21st) let me know.

Since we're really crunched on time with this project, we need to make it somewhat close. if we can do it within 20 miles of zip 21136.
Since I'm not familiar at all with the area, it would be of great help is someone else could pick out a place and let us know. we'll be there!

The next biggest city close to there is probably Towson or Baltimore. And just so you know, traffic won't die down on 695 until after 8 or so. I'm sure those that are from here know that. There are a few strip malls in that area code and along 795, but not alot with good lighting.

I can understand that.
I wish I was more familiar with the area. I would make a suggestion then. I would even say I could put it off till the next time I'll have the car up there and we won't be in the middle of a rather large project, but who knows when that will be.

I'm a little more familiar with the Towson area but it's closer to the beltway/traffic.
Owings Mills Town Center? 8mi away. 39.405826,-76.789327

Towson mall (garage)? 20mi away. 39.406025,-76.600971

I cannot comment on any of those since I'm not really familiar with the area.
Anyone else?

Instead of Owings Mills Mall, there is a Nice Well lit parking garage simi conntected to the mall parking area, and there is also a couple of Chain restraunts there (Don Pabos, red Robin, red Lobster...ect) might be better then the Hell of the Mall... The garge I am thinking of is on the Macy's side of the Mall it's part of the blue Cross/Blue Shield building!

I've been browsing the forums here for a while now and just registered tonight. I know you guys don't know me as I'm a brand new member of the community, but I'd love to attend this meet-up.
I know the last thing you want is for some newbie to come and slam you with question after question, so that's not what I have in mind. I just thought it might be nice to actually see some of these carputers in person, instead of in jpegs, and start getting some ideas in my head for what I want to do with my Mercury Milan.
I work the 21st until 6:30, so I could be at the meet-up by about 7 p.m. If you guys decide on a meeting time near or after 7 p.m. I'd love to show up. If you guys don't mind of course.
I'll keep an eye on this thread, and my name is David by the way.

Has there been a concensus as to the location of the meet this Saturday? Or should we just meet at the park off of 495 like previous meets?

I'll be there this time too.
Long story short:
Had a pretty good installer, do a ton of work for a fantastic price. The dash work needed to be re-done, but he went out of business (it was a small side business). He offered to fix it, but I wanted him to get as much revenue from other projects as possible (yeah I'm nice like that).
Having another shop complete the work, hopefully this week. They said I might be able to drop my car off today or tomorrow, and thus pick-up by Friday. So, if this pans out, then I'll be there. This shop is a full time business, local (other was out of state), and has been around for years (my buddy used them for installs about 6 years ago).
Will keep an eye on the thread to see if it even happens this weekend. (of course next week would probably be better, since I will have my car 100% for sure, but I'll come with everything minus my dash regardless)
