Well i'm not sure if thats the actual name of part of the park or not, but i know thats the label for the location on the google map in the first post of the thread. Beyond that, I'm not much help. I've unsuccessfully attempted to get there twice. It's seems to be some kind of weird blind spot on my GPS or something. This time i'm not gonna rely on the GPS.

Should the meet be at a new and easier place? Can meet like in a parking lot, of a retail store and then move to the park or something?

I think only one other person has had a problem finding the place. Mine has just been user error/software error. We started out meeting in parking lots and that didn't fare so well. You tend to get run out by rent-a-cops after about 20 minutes. We tried a few different locations and so far the park locations we've used have seemed to work out better. At least the for the summer I personally like the idea of parks as a meeting place. It's nice to enjoy the weather. Thats just my $.02.
Edit: Steve is right guys, don't take my idiocy as this being a difficult location. The first time I couldn't find it was all my own fault. The second time was half my fault/half my gps's fault. My gps botched it and I should have had the sense to plan my route that time.

True, and to add to that, since it's hard to get everyone to show up at the same time, with traffic or what have ya, it's easier to just meet at the actual meet location. And with us grilling, we can have everything up and umm burning by the time most folks are showing up.

There's a mile of forest, the right exit "Turkey Run Park," and then another mile of forest. It's about as un-confusing as it gets, IMO.

OK OK. Guys, i've spent the past 20 minutes searching for George Washington Memorial Parkway and hit nothing. I'm not from MD/DC/VA so I know just a tad bit of my way around here. So if any 1 can give me specifics I would be grateful.
ps: I'm not even going to try to nav it because iGuidance can be annoying sometimes.

its not hard to get to... there's an exit off I-495 for the GW parkway. The park is about a mile off the exit.

Great. Now you're talking about some highway I know . Is the parkway towards the end of 495? Better still, is it towards the Draw bridge that takes you into Alexandria?

its on the complete opposite side of the beltway from the wilson bridge lol. You take 95 south from baltimore til you see signs for I-495 towards northern virginia. Follow i-495 into VA and the GW parkway will be your first Virginia exit.

The Exit for GWPKY is on the West side of the beltway, towards great falls, but instead of going west off the beltway towards great falls, you go east into dc on GWPKY. Oh, and I used IG to get there the first time... worked fine for me... use it and watch the signs and you should be fine.
/damn Sonic beat me...
