SoCal summer BBQ?
Anyone interested in a summer BBQ meet? Something like a Pot luck lunch at a park someplace with a lot of parking so we can show off our projects and grab some burgers at the same time?

Take 5 South
Take Sea World Drive (Towards the West)
Turn right at W Mission Bay Dr
Turn left at Quivira Rd

Slight right to stay on Quivira Ct

I'm open. I think we need to settle on a location first though. I know there has been some chatter about meeting a little further south than we have been doing (adding in the Orange County or San Diego crowd to the mix). I'm totally open to making a day of it --even with the long drive (since I'm over an hour north of LA).

The good: Lots of parking, day use fee is low (2.00 - 4.00), they have wifi in the park and it is right on the beach.
The bad, it is a popular place so people would have to get their early to get a good parking spot near other mp3car members so we are not all spread out.

July 28th looks good to me but I don't know if less than a month notice will bring many other people in. We may need to push it back a month or two so people can make sure the day is clear. ...unless a bunch of us can make it that Saturday (like I can).

thats the saturday before my finals, but i should be able to swing that, like i said, give me a time and a place and ill try to make it.
tranny looks like its going out on the 4runner, so we will see. i will either have it there with its current transmission, have a different car while the problems are being worked out, or have it there with a 5spd (only if its catastrophic transmission failure and i need a new one anyway, then ill swap in a manual in place of that auto)

If I want to make it, it has to be after July. This summer has been VERY busy for me. Went to Costa Rica, Las Vegas, LA, and still have a Linkin Park concert to go to on the 31st. I missed work for everything that I've done.... 
For me early Aug. Maybe the first weekend....
As long as it's not in LA I will make the drive....
