That converter on your desk is a DVI-I to VGA and or a DVI-A to VGA. My port is a DVI-D, which means it is 100% digital. If i were to put that on my setup (which I have tried) it will act as though nothing is there since VGA is analog and can not decode DVI-D. I have to buy a powered unit that converts it, thankfully its only $115.00 dollars. I just wish the maker and supplier would specify that.

Really bring the car as is, I'm sure we'd all like to see what you've got done and like John said it's not a competition we might even be able to give you a few ideas.

Another thing Nobodies CarPC is ever done its always a work in progress, there's always some damn new toy that comes out that you must have (HD radio I must have you). Hell I've had my CarPC for over a year now and its still not really done (never really will be)

Shhhh don't tell anybody but I'm showing up with a blown sound processor and woofer

LOL, mine will be done soon hardware wise, I have maxed this bad boy out. Software wise, i'll never be done....... OK, i'll bringgggggggggg it......

My car is going in the shop on Sat, and wont get back till Monday, so I will be bringing my other car, with no carpc

Guess I will just have to do a L.I.P.S (Laptop In Passenger Seat for those that don't know

)

I will have the laptop hopefully all set up and running with RR and the new media database all installed for those that are curious to see how it works.

I have to buy some thermal paste for my system, i'll see if I can find a coupler for you..... getting ready now, so Ill be there by 1 since im like a women and take long to get dressed and also take long to shop!

well it was a good experience until I got home. The honey garlic chicken wings did not want to stay down. Once I got home I had to take the pups for their evening 2 mile run, and my stomach reallllllyyyyyy didnt like the honey garlic chicken. Next time lets go Italian.

PS: Next time I will have some sort of working PC, not just a Pocket PC with a cr@pped up battery.....
