hehehe...I got the itch tonight so I was messing around with my LCD. I added another CCFL + Inverter to the backlight. Didn't make a HUGE difference, but it definately made one. So now my screen has been upgraded with
Dual CCFL + Inverters
3M ESR coating on backlight
1 Diffuser
2 x 3M BEFII 90/50
1 x DBEFII 0 degree
Next step is a new LCD since this one's cracked I figured it's already broke and I have to get a new one so why not experiment
I'll check out the sunlight results in the morning. But if any of you upgrade your backlight with the ESR film, be sure to use a diffuser otherwise the panel is a frickin' mirror and will reflect anything and everything in front of the screen. I think that was my problem before as I didn't use a diffuser. live and learn though. I took some pics and I'll post them in my worklog thread later.

Here's an idea: The PINKS TV show from SpeedTV will be at Gateway Intl Speedway that weekend. $10 to get in $20 to run your own car between takes.

Looks like I won't be able to make the June meet. We have to go to a medical conference with our son that weekend. Also may not be around up here for the next meet b/c due to our son's medical condition we have to move to Houston fairly quickly.
:EDIT: - btw... http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/work...a-re-work.html updated with pics of my modded lilliput EBY701 in action in direct sunlight. I'm happy with it mostly...

hmmmm.... are there any old style drive-ins anywhere in the area... I'm all down for Gateway, even though I think it will be a little loud... I'm also down for restaurants, parks, etc.
btw... My truck is rolling now. I have not yet begun the pc install, but all components are here...

Im down to watch some pinks!!
NST sucks you wont beable to make it but family comes first always, I wish your son and your family the best!
My town has I thought the only active drive-in left in the state 2 movies for 7.50 a person in the comfort of your car.
Aron
EDIT: I lied there are 12 drive-ins in IL, The closest to E. STL would be Litchfield or Springfield

Actually, Belleville has one...
When I made that post earlier, I was referring to more like old style drive in type restaraunts or something along that line.

So far I've had two relatively major "SON OF A!!" situations so I'm hoping I've filled my quota for the install... The only thing I'm worried about is gutting my screen and getting it mounted in the trim kit. If worse comes to worse I can always get the computer mounted and running and leave the screen free floating in it's original case for a little while. The cabling for it can easily reach out to my center console. Slightly ghetto but I've been without music for almost two months now. I need _something_ soon or I'm going to flip out!
