I really wish I could have stopped by. I have a bunch of tech questions I wanted to ask and get opinions on. Hopefully next month.
Any discussion on the next date?

Well, I guess this will have to be a "bon voyage" meet. Does this mean I have to wear a lei. Anybody else have any suggestions on the theme?

wow...another Texas migrant...
man, I wish I was up there...not just because of the 2nd impending hurricane coming our way... but I found a "mod" on ACCIDENT while working on my carputer (and I just love to show off how I totally f'd up something and came out ahead on the deal while fixing it ) I have that Intel Little Valley board...and I was upgrading the heatsinks on it (yes, again)...and like a dumbass my pliers slipped and I didn't have the board protected and I shoveled off about 4-5 SMT caps and resistors. I was able to either re-attach them all or replace them except for one. I had to resort to a full size resistor as the one that got mashed off was broke in half. Incidentally...I put a 1k resistor there and plugged everything in...no video. however...I did have video...was very strange... it was there, the LCD was changing modes...but nothing could be seen. So I start putting lower values there, and the screen got BRIGHTER! Come to find out, the ORIGNINAL resistor there was a 150ohm...I replaced it with a 100ohm and DAMN I got a brightness boost without a loss in image quality. All the colors are still spot on, and it doesn't look like I jacked up the gamma or brightness settings and have a washed out picture. It's BRILLIANT! I love it!
so anyway, tomorrow I'm going to take some pics of the location and post a thread on it as I'm sure there are some other hardcore modders out there looking to tweak the last bit out of their system.

Makes no sense to me, but whatever floats your boat. I left there and came here from Austin.

Hey Slash,
You got all your receipts for your CarPC. I hear A-B is on a witch-hunt for stolen computers
