I AM NOT CANCELING THE MEET! This is just a discussion to see how we should proceed, it is still considered a go until a decision is made..
Ok, I think it is time to
seriously consider postponing this meet

What do you think John?
I just checked the latest forecasts, winds aloft, pressure waves and such (I have pretty extensive meteorological training from flight school, but it does not really take any training to figure this one out

).
I did a Photoshop err.... PhotoCHOP image of what would more than likely be expected on Mid Day Sunday.
I took the storm from a radar image, and overlaid it to scale over the top, centered on the projected path. I placed it on the projected path roughly for where it is expected to be mid day on Sunday.
As most of us know the heaviest rain bands that extend out from the eye are usually on the North East side of the storm, in this case, where La Belle is located.
There is a slim chance that were are going to get hit with a hurricane from this storm from all of the projections, but in La Belle there is probably like a 100% chance of heavy rain throughout the day, as well as pretty gusty winds. Certainly not the best of conditions to try to have a CarPC meet.
The Projected forecast for La Belle for Sunday says:
Sunday: Showers and thunderstorms likely , then showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. High near 91. Heat index values as high as 102. East wind between 15 and 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
Here is the Photoshop Image I threw together:
(NOTE: The below image is NOT where the storm is, but as where it is projected to be Mid Day on Sunday.)
