There's a huge parking lot in which we could use to meet and greet each other. After that We can go hang out grab some food or drinks in DnB.

Hey guys! I tend to frequent the san jose area every couple months. I wont be bringing my car, but next time im around i would like to see what the west side has to offer! also, you all should take advantage of the Meet maps app. there are only 4 meets on there and they are all clustered on the east side. Lets see some diversity!

i also dont have my setup installed at the moment. had it in the accord and sold it. I got an 06 sequoia with the proprietary amp and im currently trying to figure out the cleanest way to do the install and the rewire.

They dont let you hang out on the parking lot anymore in the great mall
we used to go there with accords club last week they called cops on us they said no hanging out anymore people are complaining

did this die? I'd be willing to host a South Bay carputer meetup (on meetup.com) if there is a huge interest. The reason why I say "huge interest" is because meetup.com requires a monthly fee which I will only be willing to pay if there are enough people to subsidize the cost. Month to month would be $19/month so if every member pitched in enough to cover this cost I'll sign up.

Lets say, if I get 10 people, that's $2/person per month to cover the costs, then I'll sign up. Only problem is meeting place. Maybe go to a restaurant and chat for a bit then loiter in the parking lot while each member shows of his/her carputer.

I imagine each meetup could have a topic like the following
- how to make a custom bezel for the lcd
- how to ditch your stero and rely soley on your carputer
- best frontends

While these are topics that could easily be discussed in the forum, it's nice to actually be able to show off your work pertaining to the topic in person.
