York, PA. My system has been taken out for now. It was a pain to control without a LCD and no real place to put one.

VT - Hey fluffy, why can't you run your hub off 12v or a regulator?

That problem has been fixed. It now runs quite happily unpowered. I couldn't use the hub in a powered mode because whenever I turned the car off the entire system would hard lock. Now that I don't have a USB GPS, I don't have anything that requires a powered hub.
Is anyone out there still up for a Boston/Cambridge area meeting? (to keep this post on topic).

I'm from Orange County, NY (about 50mi from NYC). I have been running my original carputer for about 2 years and am building a new one for a car I purchased over the summer.
I would be up for a Northern Jersey Meet or one in NY.

I'm up for one in Boston/Cambridge - but it'll be 2 weeks before my install is complete. We can all sit in our kickass cars buried in snow, with the heat on

NavyZ28 - I used to go to Roger Williams University...I loved driving around Newport in my spare and 'not so spare' time. Hey - when warm weather hit, I couldn't resist putting the top down and checking out the beach. But I currently live in Southern CT. I haven't completed my install - expect to be done sometime within the next month. But I'd be down to go to a meet when it's all done.
jasonsp6 - You're not far from Danbury, CT, right?
Keep me posted!
- Jeff

I even have a working thermostat in my car now! Last winter I never had good heat because the thermostat was shot. I'm sure we can find some place where we can park and show off our stuff thats out of the snow.
The parking garage at alewafe station comes to mind. They have a half hour parking zone that never fills up near the pick up / drop off area. It's not heated, but at least its got a roof and is out of the wind
