good meet guys...
i guess installing cliffnet killed my copy of copilot somehow... i ended up leaving trying to figure out where the hell the freeway was w/out gps, and w/out recollection of where i came from since i was so zoned out after the drive.
so yeah... copilot won't start, i even tried uninstalling, reboot, reinstalling a couple times when i was trying to find the damn freeway in anaheim.. blah... and mediacar's screwin up on me too.. how's that for crap

LOL that was funny. sorry dude.
Well I dont have any pics to show. The meet went really well. It's cool to see so many people there. I'm trying to remember who ran what.
jspeeder9 drives a red Prelude he's using an Armen's 701 monitor. The screen is WVGA but the controller is composite. He used to run a laptop but now he's running a VIA M10000 AC inverter with ATX PSU. He's running Copilot 2K3 and MyHTPC
MatrixPC drives a white Supra. he's using a PS1 LCD modded for VGA input. he has a clear case for his PC with AC inverter and ATX PSU. He said he didnt have any noise problems.
carabuster drives a white Maxima. I dont remember what screen he was using. He's using a laptop. I think his audio is through an aux in to his deck.
I dont remember who drives the older Mustang. He has a bad *** install. custom dash with 12.1" touch screen. Alpine remote integrated into the steering wheel, cell phone molded into the dash next to the LCD screen. ALpine DSP/EQ and vents in the headliner by the sunvisor. audio through Alpine deck. amps and subs and speakers were home audio equipment. He's running a Shuttle XPC with audigy, Gyration KB.
SinnerG drives a white Blazer. He didnt have his system up and running yet. Maybe next time.
phc drives a white WRX wagon. He didnt have his system up yet either but is working on a PC with screen to fit in the double DIN spot.
BoraXP drives a white Jetta. I didnt get a chance to check out his system before he left.
I dont remember who drives the S-10. he's using a 2nd gen Xenarc screen painted black. He built a false floor in the back to house the PC. He's using a sumicom CD-ROM sized PC, Gyration KB.
00CelciaRuss has a 7" touch screen molded into his dash. we setup our WiFi and transfer some files for his PC. When he was copying my files, I was all, holy ****. this is the freaking future. He's car is receiving data from my car and we're all just standing around talking. He's running a mini-ITX board. He has an JL 500/5 to a 12W7. He has 2 LCD screens mounted in the trunk.
I showed everyone my setup. I had my laptop rolling up and down my windows, opening both doors and start up my truck via WiFi and VNC. I showed the OBD-II, Cliffnet, GPS nav, wireless internet, and my good ole Winamp with big buttons and cover art.
I think I got everyone.
I answered some questions regarding my setup. I forgot who it was that brought to my attention that I didnt talk about how my system's powered and the wiring. I'll do that when I get a chance.
1 problem that alot of people have there is the computer freezes or reboots when starting. Opus or a Tank circuit can fix that.
anyone else has any inputs?

cproaudio-
That was everyone ecxept the guy who had the WRX with the custom aluminum case and Lilliput combined together (looked really nice). Also, I was trying to help out a guy (dark curly almost dreadlocked hair) that had a prob with an inductor (sorry forgot your name).
The guy in the Mustang was an installer from a local shop that I ran into and told him about the meet (as well as the forums). He just happened to have a computer in the car.
All in all, it was an impressive meet.
OOps, PHC is accounted for

it was me with the curly hair
I also wish I could have stayed longer. Seeing everyone's setups really renewed my sort of waning interest in doing my install. I'm eager to get it all set up so I can show you all at the next meet.

Great meet!! A plethora of information to digest will produce new ideas and directions to take the carputer to new levels. I can't wait to get started! Everyone had the coolest systems in their own respect. I personally thought it was awesome to see how each system was customized according to each vehicles attributes. Great job everyone! Hopefully we all can meet again.

the pics didn't look like they came out right. looks like you took them while you were running. i'm guessing there was a delay from the time you click until the time it takes the picture and you didn't realize this.
