push it back. not the 7th, lets do it on the 14 or the 15th
actually 15th might be better. Less traffic for those of us who have to drive north on their way home. We can do it the same place as last time, but that place was kinda boring
how about a movie theater? after the meet dies down we could catch a movie or grab some food without relocating. I would suggest something like the block or the mills mall, but saturday there will be no parking. Someone suggest someplace near resturants but with parking that isnt' full. A Borders or Barnes and Noble maybe? Best Buy? something like that.

I dont work on the 14th so 14th is the best for me. If we do it on the 15th, I wont be able to get to LA until 8PM.

If you guys don't mind, Cerritos Town Center. The parking not is NOT really that big but for 20 or so cars in group, I think that fit. There are plenty of food place (TGI Friday, and other. Plus, the theater is also there.
Another place is Long Beach Town Center also there are food and theater.

hi, I'm new to the forums, and would love to exchange ideas. I'm currently starting my system using a Sharp Actius PCA-280 laptop I already had, hoping to add wireless support and a bigger hard drive, etc etc soon. I live in West LA, so Burbank and Woodland Hills are no problem (Woodland Hills is a WAY better Fry's - even the employees will tell you - but either one is fine by me).
I support the idea of meeting at a Fry's, so we can go right in and buy things / advise each other with real examples. And they've got tools, too. Then again, maybe I'm the only one who still needs to build the thing, & the rest of you just want to socialize?
How many SoCal mp3car peeps are there? Is this the best/only way for us to reach each other?

we could play a wardriving scavenger hunt. Winner is the one with the most unique unprotected spots in an hour. or a pot luck, or we can do it outside a casino, maybe hit up a hold 'em table....

I don't have anything to show yet since I'm still short an Opus and Lilliput. It's possible I could have a Sproggy (or custom variant) assembled by then.
May 7th might work for me. Of course, we'll need to narrow down a time. Friday night traffic up to Burbank is going to be horrendous. Would a week-end meet work better or are there not too many 9-5'rs in the MP3CAR scene?

honestly, im down for the meet.. but why friday??? lol.. your eithe getting off work in traffic or its friday night (time to get out and have some fun, not saying this is no fun, but thinka bout it)... most GTG are held on weekends when poeple do not have to work.. sorry for the 1 person who works on weekends.. i used to work weekends too and feel your pain.. the weekend
allows poeple to coordinate their time best and not have to worry about traffic, specially on FRIDAYS , hello.. party night.. ..
burabnk fry's is cool, its close to me.. but friday? 7pm? i attend GTG for cars and what not, most GTG dureing the week are held after hours 10pm ish or on weekends when the MOST amount of people can attend..
anyhow.. lets see how this turns out.

I'm out of town around the 7th, so I can't do it then. i could go for hte 14th but again, the drive is bad on fridays, I don't mind another late meet if you don't cpro. Our cars will look better at night. Doubt I'll have an opus by then (current supply issues), but at least I'll have something to show.

Well someone has to set a date in stone, since it's liekely, that for at least one person the third thursday in march 2049 will be "Bad"... so make a descision, and then either free up your night, or wait for another... this hopefully won't be the last meet...

fine, I'll say when then.
May 29, 2004 8pm.
Angelo's Hamburgers

Far enough back, so we can plan, should be in the middle for most of us location wise. It's a car hop so we don't have to leave our cars. Late enough that those who work weekends can still attend. What say you?
