Better than the banana? If you wern't trying to make sense that was a pretty cool statement, otherwise I don't know what you mean.

Um, I'm stuck in Flint, Michigan for another month or so. That dosn't mean that you guys shouldn't try to have a meet before then.

Keep this going.

Hello all. I live in Mesa and work inthe Scottsdale/Phoenix/Tempe area. I am new to the carpc thing. I have already started the process and getting ready to put in a new car that I ordered this month. Should have the car this week. If anyone needs help, I am very skilled with computer and software setup. I can also help with car stereo installs and advice if needed. I am NOT so good at fabrication and medium to heavy electrical work. I thought it may be a good idea to list our strengths and weaknesses so we can help each other out.

PS. I recently finished a MAME arcade station project this last year incase anyone has interests in pc arcade cabinets. I can provide advice on those as well.

How are u guys dealing with the high temps here in the valley? I am building a carputer and this is my bigest concern. Right now my plan is to duct some AC down on the board, but that may not be enough. Thanks.

Supermike, my concerns the same. I am not wanting to duct the ac unit and was curious how everyone was doing it. Is the trunk out of the question?

Well, this thread has alot of good info, but not sure how many people have to deal with the extreme heat of AZ - thats why I asked in this thread.

http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=23139

There seems to be alot of drawbacks to the trunk, especially since the conventional ways of cooling with fans and heatsinks will not cool below the ambient temp which can get high in a sealed trunk. That is why I am ducting AC which in my case is easy since I am mounting the PC in the dash below the center AC vent
