Well, you really don't have to bring anything but yourself - but in order to reduce hassle from the Varsity people, I'd suggest lower level, further out from the building. When we converge there, that's where we meet, just to stay out of their normal course of business.

Warning: Thursday nights at the Varsity tend to be a zoo.

We had Varsity Dogs today!! I'm taking Pepto Bismol tonight! Greasy, greasy, stuff!! (burp)

Anyway, I think the best place to meet would definitely be lower level, toward the back-left-side parking area that faces the connector (I75/I85) near the trees. When we get closer to the meet we can excahge a few cellphone numbers so that we can converge.

Any suggestions for time-of-day? How about 11AM-ish? I really open to times. What fit's your schedules?

Also, spread the word so we can make sure all the GA folks know about this.

Atlanta CarPC Meet....JULY 24th, 2004.....Varsity .......
...time...TBD

Ryan,

No one is DONE with anything! It's always a work in progress. Come anyway. This is not a "show". We'll just meet and chat about cool technology! Don't worry about the status of your project. It would be nice just to meet local folks with an interest (although Tifton is a bit of a stretch for "local" to Atlanta... ).

Sounds like an interesting meeting. Assuming there are no conflicts with our schedule, our DashPC will be there.

Is The Varsity the final location? I'd like to start promoting the meet-up, so if The Varsity is not the meeting place, let's finalize one quickly.

Suggest using meetup com

Hey Chris,

I just signed up for your list at meetup.com. http://dashpc.meetup.com (from your link (above)

It looks like a great solution for meeting announcements and connecting us mp3car types.

To the others on this list:
* Chris's list is part if an international list (grouped by meeting place) of our types.

* ATL (Marietta / Roswell) has the most members in the world. Go join to keep it that way.

Regards,

Barry

it's in downtown atlanta right off the interstate ... just take i-75 or i-85 into town and you'll see it on the eastern side of the interstate ... can't miss it.

should be in your POI database ... you *DO* have gps don't you

Oh my!

The Varsity

North Avenue at Spring Street across from Georgia Tech campus.

I've just posted two maps HERE . Look under Atlanta CarPC Meet. One map gives an overview, the other gives a detailed view.

You're driving all the way from Mississippi? Wow!

Naturally! I'll check the POI later.

I once made it from here to Atlanta in a little over 3 hours. I crossed the entire state of alabama in close to 2 hrs. And, we stopped 3 times and got lost twice.

Gotta love the Valentine 1!
