Anyone in the Charlotte area - Page 4

I'm done with my system, Now if I just don't break it!!
Well, I can do a Raleigh meet.

Let me throught some ideas out though. If something on the other side of Charlotte will bring out more people, that would be great. The more that comes, the more fun for all.
1, We can figure out if there is a hotel that can offer us a room for the night and use their parking lot as a group place
2, depending on how many, we can take over the lobby or even for a few bucks, rent it for maybe some inside activity which may even bring to 3.
3. Food. At the hotel in the lobby we can get some takeout or even we can all go out for an evening dinner
4, Before dinner or even after dinner if not to late, take an evening drive, something planned that is with some curves(yea, it's a miata) and bring some fm family radios to chat on the drive.
5, take in an event. Something fun that allows group rates(this could be anything)
6,..ok, so if we did play the Raleigh gathering, we could meet up at various points in the local areas, and drive in together, (Like the Western group meet near Charlotte area, Who ever is West of Charlotte could gather up with me in Shelby or something like that)
6, See if we could get one of those big computer stores in the gathering area sponsor us for the event. (Maybe like, gather at a store like this and put on a show for their customers or something. )

You folks that live in these areas, think about some of these ideas. We could have one of the biggest KICK *** gatherings ever and bring it on every year!

well i've got top tier status at marriott and starwood hotels - and can use at&t/ibm/sbc/bellsouth corporate rates (i kinda work for all 3 right now) for just about any hotel that is a chain

i'd definitely prefer the raleigh area but anywhere kinda close in the area

Well, we need to pick a differnet city then because any one who lives here knows there is not **** to do.

I like this point.....good one...im down for whatever...raleigh , charlotte...its all the same to me. I also think we should plan a meet for some time in may or june. I have alot of the nc members on my pm list so i will pm everyone just as soon as we decide on a date and location

Im in Charlotte, just finished my install about a month ago.
Would definitely attend if someone arranges a meet. will check back later to see if plans are made.

I live down in Wendell 10-15 mins from Raleigh...its basicly raleigh. That will be intresting to meet some NC carputers and C their work....I haven't done anyhting on mine still working with JThiani on his..... mine will be next.

i guess this thread died...but the doctor is in. Can we shoot for an april meet in Raleigh?? i will be glad to organize it. I will pm everyone i know is in nc / sc and see if we can get something going
