would anybody be interested in a San Diego meet? dont know when... maybe nearing end of summer.. but I cant drive up to LA, and areas that have less population density are far easier to find parking to set up a meet at.

Frys in San Marcos has a parking lot, where a good part of it never gets touched. the parking lot extends like an L with a right triangle at the bottom.. the short side at the front of Frys, the long side extending out in front of it. about half the long side never sees cars. So, parking wouldnt be a problem there.

And.. there's a Dennys and Jack In The Box within walking distance. ( )

Just throwing an idea out there. for those of us who didnt get a chance to make it to the LA meet, or just dont want to brave the traffic.

I'm interested... also just so you know we are also trying to get a meet for LA/OC/SD/RS/OTHER planned... and it's looking like the meet is going to be in Irvine. It's not exactly San Diego, but it might be close enough to garner your interest.

Just thought I'd mention it. I'm adding your/this thread to my watch list, so if you do get this meet together at Fry's in San Marcos or other location in San Diego... i'm there .

Update. Just want to advise all watching this thread...

we have a SoCal meet in a few weeks in OC. I know most of you are interested in a meet in San Diego, but figured you might like to know about other scheduled meets some-what close to us San Diegans. I too live in San Diego (North County) and would very much like to see a San Diego meet happen.

Location: Orange County, Costa Mesa at South Coast Plaza.

Our meet can be ealier/later or both if enough people express a desire to do so. If so, post here and I will track and post an update to everyone.

Also, I am going to Costa Mesa this Thursday, Oct 21 and will be inspecting South Coast Plaza for an exact meeting location as well as other stores and dining/cocktail establishments close by, in the event an after meet gathering is desired. If you have any particular after-meet interests (other than just our meet)... please let me know so I can check it out and work on arrangements.

Exact meeting locations at South Coast in Costa Mesa and directions to follow my trip to OC this week for the location inspection. If you have a suggestion(s) for an exact meeting location at South Coast, holla back and let me know -- I'm open for recommendations.

I dont live in Irvine anymore, but I did at one time, I'm not even going to goto the meeting, BUT, The Corner Office (about .5 miles from SCPlaza) is a kick *** sports bar with a real good menu, and LOTS of good beers and Very OPEN spaced, not cramped..

You might want to check it out...

Red Robin this at SCP, but not anywhere as cool as Corner Office...
