The more the merrier. Even if you don't have a carputer, you are welcome to come and learn something from our misadventures.Who knows, you may have something else to contribute. I notice that you seem to have a lot of automotive experience. Most of the people on this board are computer geeks with poor mechanical skills. I would love to find someone with fabrication experience who could talk about fiberglass, bondo, etc...

FWIW, I would be happy to iquire about a meet at XXX Root Beer drive-in located in Issaquah, right off I90. I know the owner and have had several car shows and get togethers there. It's everyone's call but I am willing to do it. Plenty of parking plus food and facilities.

Hmmm, July 17th at noon eh? Well, you aren't going to believe this, but I was going to be in Seattle that weekend anyways!!! Weeeeeeeee, the Bite of Seattle is that weekend and I have gone down for the past 3 or 4 of them.
So you picked a perfect date for me since I am coming from Vancouver, BC...
Cheers!

Not in Russia
Anyways, I don't know if I am going to make it.
My PCMCIA slots fried, which means that I now have very limited capabilities and my carputer is currently sitting on my desk at home waiting for a new motherboard. If I get the motherboard ready and PCMCIA active then I will be happy to be there
On the other hand, there's still plenty of time, I might even get a remote before the meet
I want my carputer to look/work its best.

Even if your system isn't fully functional, or even if you don't have a system yet, feel free to come. My system had a burnt out motherboard at the last meet and I had a great time.

Ok - I don't have much to do anyway.
But I hope my system will be operational by then.
Update! I have managed to get the old motherboard working (partially). I can't upload music and I can only use a 4 GB hard drive. Thankfully I uploaded some of my newer MP3 stuff to this drive before the motherboard became a toast. Any way, this means I will make it to the meet with a working carputer

Cool
It'd be nice to see another Saturn owner!
I just got a new motherboard, my carputer is back to being fully operational.
In a few more days I will be receivinig USB cardbus, a new USB external 3.5" drive adapter and a remote.
I'd love to show off what I got, but it appears that I might be away camping on the 16th so I don't know if I'll make it in time. Maybe if I drive home at 10am, take a quick shower, eat some junk food and get going I might get there in time
We'll see.
