Sept. 5th, Maryland Washington Virginia Meet
Another meet is being planned for the DC Metro area, currently in Columbia, Maryland at the Park and Ride off Route 100 by Longate Shopping Center for September 5th, 2004.
Anyone is welcome to come who has a carputer or is just interested in them, feel free to bring your friends too.
This meet is the second one. Info on the success of and links to pictures from the first one can be found here: http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/mp3car-gatherings/22745-maryland-washington-virgina-mp3car-club-meet-march-27-28-2004-a.html
Send me your e-mail address to godofcpu@vt.edu if you are interested in this meet. If you were included in the mailing list for the first meet, I already have your address so you don't need to send it again. I will only use e-mail for sending major reminder notices out and keep the discussion for the meet in this thread.
I will be also be demonstrating a new software interface product thats just about ready for a commercial release after 3 years in development and is set to take carputers to a whole new level of usability. I will be looking for BETA testers there who have fully installed and working carputers with at least support for Direct3D. If you want to know more about the software or just want to share your carputer experiences, come to meet!

Sounds good. I'll be there. So is your product going to have everything Frodoplayer has plus the kitchen sink?

I'll be there, I'm coming from northern jersey, however I'm originally from rockville, MD, so it works perfect to plan a weekend trip.
I'll have everything working by then. At least I better.
I'm totally down to be a beta tester.

Yes, it is a direct competitor against frodoplayer / media engine / etc. and does what they do and if you have a sink in your car, it will be able to control it . It was developed as software only product and I know the only way that it can make money as such is if it revolutionizes things compared to whats available for free. I'm not going to go into more details though until its ready for release and I'm at liberty to actually back up these wild and crazy claims with a completely stable demo. The initial release isn't planned until December so I don't want it to be over hyped now and forgotten by then.
