the controller is a Signet EPAP-200C and that is in for repair too. It has been a long time since i have sent them in and I am hopeing to have them back soon..
but i have some pics of the thing plugged in and OMFG is it bight!!!

Daytime: no (its running 4 CCFLs strong so i have to keep it half way dimmed for best resuts)
At night it blinds... i have to hardwire potentiometer/equivalent to have the brightness reduced, im to lazy to do so therefore i dont use it at night at all.
Getting actual Allbrite screen its only beginning of it all, you have to get everything else compatible with the LCD to work - which is $$ and very hard to find.

I suggested Shea Stadium as the meeting place, but someone brought up the point of a location where we can see LCDs in an outdoor and indoor setting. I haven't been to Roosevelt Field Mall, but if it has indoor parking as well as outdoor, then that's perfect. I'm sure there must be some corner of the parking lot that's farthest and parking spaces should be plenty.
BTW: How many of you are planning on going if the meet is at RFM@12:00PM? Maybe we can meet earlier for better parking options?

I'll prolly make it as long as I my car is ready. Had planned to take it apart to install an AM/FM/GPS antenna. Though we should find a different place other then the mall lot. Going to be packed on a weekend night for sure. Then again, who knows, top level in the parking garage might not be that bad.
