Totally in the wrong direction but would a bike be allowed to join in part way through? (naturally depends on if I have it or not, familys & kids cost to much)
Doesn't hurt to ask now does it. Given the photo I think I'd be up for gold hunting

I don't see why not.
Providing you can tell us exactly when/where you'll be joining us, and how far you'll be going, as we'll need to know for definite to organise things like accomodation and entry to attractions etc.

If it's for 2006 then I'm in!
PMR radios are cool and all that - I've got a pair myself - great little things. But I reckon it's better if we all got a CB setup... Much better range, and you don't have to worry about batteries. Get a cheap dual-band Euro-UK setup off ebay and we'll be sorted!
Just don't get a handheld, as they're next to useless, especially in a car.
Just for the record, if some of those American boys are serious about joining us, I don't see why not just hop on a cheap(ish) flight and hitch a lift with us.......
Hopefully there'll be a distro of A.I.M.E.E released by then!!
Just kiddin' G-man...lol
