Johannesburg / South Africa meet

Hi There

All Fellow South African carputer nuts and I know there are a few lurkers on the board, lets have a meet and discuss the end result as well as the problems we face being 10 000 miles from the rest of the civilised world and how to get around them

Please add to this thread, I am thinking of a meet up in JNB / maybe Sandton city roof / Innes free park / Midrand in fact anywhere

The tentative date would be 5/6 of Feb or 19/20 of Feb

let me know your thoughts

you can PM me on drunkagainATthepub.co.za
replace the AT with @

Cheers

When you say you just have the install for now, are you talking about GPS software? if so what is it?

No no no, no gps software, i got the PC install ready to plug and play in the car, car is wired, just to plug it in , i concentrated more on getting the pc running (I've had a lot of hiccups in getting that right )
But its finally done, and im installing this weekend, once its installed, i will start adding, BTW, what car are you running it in?

Havn't looked at Diagnostics yet.. I got a 1400 so its kinda pointless for me

I'm planning on fabricating myself yes, it will be my frist attempt at somthing like this so I hope i don't f#ck it up...

I was thinking about getting someone to fab the screen for me but i'm not too sure if there's any place that could do it in dbn..

What you doing ?
