AAAh. Okay, wait. Serious standby issues.
It was working great until I did the following:
1. Bought a $12 LED case fan and plugged it into the 3-prong fan pin on my epia.
2. Downloaded and installed Motherboard Monitor [ From http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=204 ].
3. Turned it back on.
Before, it used to go to standby and kill the USB power because it's powered off my +5 line. Now, any sort of standby and it goes crazy! No matter how I try to turn off the power (standby, hibernate, or shut down) it will turn right back on after completing the respective shutdown cycles EVEN WITH THE KEY REMOVED FROM THE IGNITION.
WHAT THE ****!
I tried uninstalling the software and removing the fan and standby still messes up! I even did a bios reflash and it still messes up. Now I've set it to hibernate at all times and it's working the same as it did before the meet. And I've plugged the fan into the normal 4-pin molex.
Other ideas.
1. I did plug the fan into the motherboard 3-prong while the system was on standby. Could that have done something permanent to my standby capabilities?
2. Is there anything that the motherboard monitoring software could have changed that uninstalling wouldn't fix?
PLEASE HELP
I really love standby and I would love to have a fan that works and even better works alongside some motherboard fan and temp monitoring software.

Hey, I am glade you guys like my car! I liked all of yours too, yes even your crown vic john1701
maxxel : after you installed the fan did it come out of stand by properly? If yes then it was probably the software. and if thats the case then I would just do a system restore to the point just before you installed it. Let me know what happens cause i want to add some blue leds for under my model pc.
jcdillin : I am planning on upgrading my sound quality. I think I read somewhere that you used to have a soundblaster mp3+, but now I think you just upgraded. So, if I am right, how was the quality of the mp3+ . Also if you just upgraded, would you be willing to sell yours?
I looked for the turn on mod for the lilliput and found two threads.
1. Auto Power-on Lilliput
2. Solution to Auto Power ON (coyote)
How did you guys do it, or if there is another thread please be so kind as to direct me to it. The coyote one looks pretty hard to me because I am not very experienced with soldering, so if there is another way, I will take it.
Thanks guys, I am looking forward to the next meet, hopefully I will have some new stuff to show.

john1701: It didn't matter that your car wasn't ready, it is still amazing how much you plan to do. So I respect you for taking on such a time consuming task and completly understand why yours wasn't ready, hell, none of are comps were "ready".
Oh and by the way the video link didn't work for me. Just a huge page of characters came up. Also, nice site, it looks really good.

Blasterguy: I put the fan in and it came out of standby just fine. Then I installed the software and it wouldn't enter standby. This would make me think the software is the culprit... BUT, I've uninstalled the software, deleted any remaining files, AND done a system restore. Still cant standby.
I am starting to think it has to be a hardware issue. But what??? I still need to manually go through the bios to confirm the standby settings are right, but I would think that reflashing would fix it. SO LOST!

maxxel: I am out of ideas. I would say the software possibly screewed up the hardware, but what hardware. Did you try changing the stand by setting back to shutdown and the fully shutting down the comp normally. Then switch it back.
me and jcdillin are probably gonna meet up soon to work on some stuff so if you want, your welcome to join us and we could try to figure something out. Three minds is better than one.

Okay, another day, another few hours of playing around to report.
I reinstalled the mobo monitoring software and plugged the fan back into the mobo, because I figured standby is shot either way, at least I can still hibernate. Having done that, I figured I'd give standby another chance. When I do, windows pops up an error saying that the lilli touchscreen drivers are preventing standby and I get kicked back into windows. If I unplug the lilli USB, and then try a standby, it works fine.
So I think I just update the lilli drivers and hope for the best, right?

Yeah, it was the lilli touch drivers. I guess Windows wasn't able to catch that the drivers were causing problems before or something. I dont really know. If I had a dollar for every time I've had a problem work itself out because I did something and yet couldn't explain why that would help... I'd have at least 2 dollars by now.
