Ask the Chicago meet guys about a one day drive.

I bet your flight plans are less than an hour, too. You'd be dead weight in a bombing run from Whiteman to Iraq and back.

Not upset, just ribbing you.
I'll count you in and buy you the first beer.

I figured I'd hit a nerve with the pilot comment - I were one

Possible 2008 St Louis meet.

Count me in if a ST. Louis area meet happens in 2008.
I live in IL. but 20 minutes from downtown STL.

Just let me know when your making it happen.

Thanks
Jeff

Talked to one of the event coordinators for the Gateway International NOPI Show. Couldn't get any discounts for us, but they did agree to set aside a section of the Pit area for us to meet up if we wanted. I don't expect everyone's to buy spectator tickets at $25 per person, so ....

Back to the Riverfront.

River Front update 3-22-08

I was down on Lacledes Landing hittin' some places last night and wow is the river up or what? It was up on the street when we were leaving at near 2am or so. I know it won't be up for long, but it's really something to see when it's that high.

I know what you mean. And STL is not big on cleanup so its probably gonna look like crap till Fair ST Louis begins. You going to the Forest Park car show Easter?

No Forest Park for me...

We had family stuff to do all day. Plus the weather sucked today. I like warm weather for my car shows...brings out the better dressed females (less on). I went to a Good Guys show in Columbus Ohio last June I think it was. 7800 cars entered...it was great.
Used to go the the Street Machines Nationals for a lot of years, 19 straight. But it has run its course as a good car show. Not much there but punk acting kids thinking they have super hotrods with 200hp motors in them. I like good American iron as far as car shows go. I drive a rice burner for my day to day but the wife and I are getting ready to start with our 69 Camaro build soon. Crate motor from GM and a tube chassis sitting real low with a road race theme to it is what we are going for.
Gotta go, bed time.

Jeff

When I looked out my window that morning and saw snow falling, I decided against it too.
Super Chevy Nationals was my fave ages ago. Now I'm down to Ford Shootout @Gateway and Indy 500 since Formula 1 no longer comes to US.
