You're right! Doh! I changed the post to reflect APRIL, not August.

The software does require a 3D card and windows XP SP1, everything else is optional or provided. Navigation is optional and requires mappoint be installed.
For everyone else, the final release version and a downloadable demo will be available this summer.

Wow! Question - the Epia M10000 says it has integrated 2D/3D graphics. Will that work with UbiquityV?

It will work on some level. You can expect the frame rates to top out around 30 FPS@800x600 on an M10k integrated graphics processor. The ideal rate is 60 fps for the animations and video to look thier best and should be achievable with a PCI video card.
The processing requirements are very similar to windows media center, so if you run that well you won't have any problem with UbiquityV.

i wasn't planning on attending the meet at first because my niece's birthday was that day but the party was moved to sunday.
i might be able to come now, but i looked at the weather forecast and they're calling for rain all weekend.
what are our plans if it does rain?

LAN party from inside our cars.
According to wunderground it's just a 30% chance, but we ought to have a plan. Like maybe at 11:00. check in on this thread to reconfirm?

That could work. Or anyone got an EZ-up tent?
I refuse to have bad luck weather-wise for 2 meets.

it's ok... i think a lot of us have 'incomplete' carputers.
i tried all week to make time to finish mine up for the meet but school has been dragging me down.
i'll at least bring my stuff. everyone can see how small the NANO-itx board really is.

I know what you mean acura_cl.....I've been working on mine all week and it seems the closer I get to finishing the longer the time it takes me to do stuff, and the more I get interrupted.....hopefully I'll be able to finish it off tonight, only details left, but details take the longest!!
