It's all in the car just none of the wires are running through the car so it's sitting behind the passenger seat for now.
I'm still waiting for NMC to be released (1 to 1.5 weeks i was told yaaay)
I did find a waterproof camera for atroung $130 at Jaycar the image is auto reversed so it will work as a backup cam stright away i just gotta work out where to mount the sucker
I'm still waiting for my AUX-IN cable for my headunit it's been almost 2 months and still no word yet i even got a JVC rep to ask and they don't know either
It's been ordered but hasn't been sent to aus yet from what i've found out.
I'll try my best to have a working system as mine sucked at the last meet cause it was just thrown in and didn't work to well.

Bulk Buy
BULK BUY
I've got a good reverse composite camera i wanna buy but if i get 4 or more people to buy with me we get it cheaper
This camera is in a black anodized water resistant case with a CMOS camera inside.
Has standard RCA jack for connecting to lilliput/xenarc/lintx monitors
It only needs a 25mm hole to see out of so thats 2.5cm
I don't know what field of view it has probably the same as a standard camera but it outputs a reversed image which is needed for backup cameras.
it cost $149 but if i get 3 or more people it will be $126.95
or $133.95 if i get 1 other person to buy with me.
Tell me if your interested

I would but i'm broke as.. lol.. sorry.. Sounds pretty good though. The times i've needed a backup camera being in a wagon it's hard to see out the back and judge distance etc..

Count me in for the meet. 22nd May sounds OK. Have to check with my boss I love BBQ's but in all honesty, it would probably be easier to simply buy some take away after the meet. I'm a bit lazy to try get everything organsied for a BBQ.
My CarPC is all in and running. I don;t there is such a thing as a car PC that is 'finished'.
Can someone give some more detail on the exact location? as i'm from the other side of Melbourne and don't know Box Hill too well. Maybe some GPS co-ordinates.
Cheers,
Gazza

Could try Surrey Dive in Surrey Hills/Box Hill, but parking might be limited on a sunday, but there are bbq's, or over the other side of the same ovals there are other car arks, or better still, the carparks for the ovals at deakin in Burwood, heaps of room there (and red rooster 2 seconds away (oh yeah, and its 1 minute from my house :P))
Anyway, i hope to make this meet, need ideas on what to do in my car, the laptop on the passenger seat is starting to get a bit annoying!

what area u from? u might be able to get a lift with someone?
djmickyg: Im around lilydale area. Eastern Suburbs. Just fibreglassing the dash surround for my VR now to fit the screen in and sanding all the interior dash bits so they are smooth and get them sprayed up. Hated the Holden ruff glovebox/dash look.
Got all my pc together now with my new wireless PCI card and its all running sweet as outside the car. I got all my wiring done just really need to chuck the box and screen in and its done.
I've had it hooked up in there running off 240v just to see how it all looked. Ended up spending half the night in there watching movies and listerning to music.
Specs of machine are:
Pentium 3 733
Asus mini atx motherboard
120gig WD hard drive
IBM slimline DVD/CD
MSI wireless PCI Card 802.11g 54Mbps
M1-ATX power supply
Custom box
6.8" LCD screen
4 Port usb hub in glovebox
Wireless RF mini keyboard
Wireless Logitech mouse
Creative Infra Remote
Also got some VX door trims that i need to get modified to fit my VR. I'm hoping they can be hacked to fit.
Looking forward to having a LAN meet up with you guys when its all together.
