Cool glad u got the car seems to have worked out well for you
The cable i got for my headunti doesn't seem to work..... i installed it and it just doesn't seem to know that it's there it's plug in right and everything
I made a cut right along my hand installing it cause my headunit is under the passenger seat i have to stick my hand under there and i pulled my hand out and it's dripping with blood lol
I didn't even feel it oh well im still ****ed at this damn cable i don't wanna wait another 3+ months for another one....

Nin^ ^NIN, are you sure you don't have to change a setting on the headunit to recognise the cable? I know when I added an AUX input cable to my old pioneer headdeck, I had to do something like hold some buttons down on power-on and enable the 'aux' feature. Just adding the cable in didn't change anything. After I enabled the 'aux' feature on the headunit, the cable worked fine.
Good luck.

Yeah i worked that out myself on saturday the bloody manuals didn't mention anything about it either
I was holding down the CD-CDCH button which didn't do anything and i was bout to quit then i tried holding down the select.
It be bloody handy if they mention this in the manual it says nothing bout setting it to AUX-IN
My only problem is getting time to run the wires through the car nd get the softwre working well enough.
Still looks like my carpc won't be showed off in this meet either.

After about 3 months of my car PC running pretty good, today my motherboard crapped itself. All I get now is 'Disk Controller Failure' even after I change HDD's with a spare one. No need to panic. Spoke to my friends here at work and within about 15 minutes, I now have an exact replica motherbaord for me to install tonight. I'd hate to have to come to the meet with my carPC not running.... The lesson here is to make sure the network guys at work have an interest in your car so when you need something, they are keen to help....

i still have nothing to show.. but i got a few things for sale, so I'll come and bring them along...
i brought some gear from digitalww in march... but the carpc project has been delayed as I'm planing to sell my currrent car and get another one, so i don't see a point in modifying my car only to rip it out and turn it back to stock.
i have a brand new 7" lilliput touch screen + a project housing.
a brand new opus 90w dc2dc power supply(don't really want to part with it, but if anyone wants it I"ll see..)
also got a compaq desktop pc 733mhz
alpine amp
2 10" alpine type r subs
anyone interested?

NOTE TO ALL PEOPLE WITH CAMERAS
Please DO NOT post pics of the car meet unless you have blurred out the licence plate and have permission to show the the person in the picture.
Pics of the cars is fine as long as the licence plate is taken out.
Pictures of people at the meet will have to be checked with everyone in the pic to make sure it's ok.
This is just a safety reason as we don't want melbourne guys coming on here and seeing the licence plates of who has computers in their cars.
If there are any Questions or people need directons then PM me and i'll send detailed maps.
