All in all it was good. Nice to put a few faces to the words you see on here. The weather held up alright and Geelong won. All round, a decent day IMO. Will look forward to seeing others towards the end of the year with systems installed (including mine) and arms healed up nicely.
I say we plan for somewhere that we can have a drink or 20.

Well the problem is drinking probably inst a good idea but if it is it should be capped at 2 drinks max to be safe.
Don't wanna be a spoil sport but don't want anyone crashing
My carputer should be done with a ****load of features by the time the next meet happens.

thanks guys
NiN^_^NiN's right though, it would be a shame to smash up your car after installing a PC, especialy if you have done a fair bit of fabrication, insurance companies dont pucker up any tighter then a snare drum when it comes to making claims
hopefully i can make it to the meet in sept\oct, im hoping for late october so i can put some birthday cash into the hilux.... and mabey be more cautious with acids heh heh
btw.....
wtf is with no pictures?!!
diddnt gazza and mulder say they where taking cameras? damn!!
serves me right for beying careless at work i suppose

Standard test the insurance company does it to so if u have a crash and the tyres are out of the body of the vehicle by a set amount then they won't pay you.
Im guessing it's safety if your car drops the wheels need to be able to slide up inside the guard of the car.

I did bring my camera, but as NIN^ ^NIN stated, I didn't get around to getting it out. It was sitting in my center console the whole meet fully charged and ready to go. Sorry Guys. Overall the meet went well with plenty of ideas/problems talked about. It's good to see the different ways that people have things running. I'll definately come along to future meets. I am more than happy to have a few beers (and then a few more), but I would rather leave my car at home then..
Cheers,
Gazza

Just on wheel size. For those 4X4ers out there. If you raise the height of your tyres more than 30 mm (i think), then your car is 'technically' unroadworthy unless you get an engineers report. The reason is that by increasing the rolling circumfrance, the load on your brakes is increased. If the insurance company wanted to be picky they probably wouldn't have to pay if I had a crash. Fingers crossed....
Gazza

engineer's report i have, that cost a fair bit coz they had to test stopping distances and all kinds of other crap when the v8 was installed along with the tyres, although i want to get bigger tyres.... just not any wider i only have 33*12.5*r15 atm im looking at something in the 36 inch range

Oh I don't condone drink driving don't get me wrong. I just think it'd be nice if we all pulled up somewhere, sat down, had a few drinks, let it out of our system then went home. Make an evening out of it sort of thing. Maybe even a Grand Final get together.
And I had my cam in the laptop bag but didn't think to have it whipped out for pics. Was too busy admiring the shelf.
