Melbourne CAA (Mp3car) Meetup This Friday (17th June)
Hey guys, Car Audio Australia are having a meet and greet followed by Pizza at a local place (Patony's in South Melbourne) this Friday Night June 17th.
The meeting point is Vicroad Training Centre Car Park in Port Melbourne (Cook St) under the West Gate Bridge. There will be a few carputer enthusiasts there including my new setup (see below).
This is a great chance to talk with fellow enthusiasts and check out some other installations.
Everyone from MP3CAR is welcome to come along and introduce themselves, and perhaps even come along for pizza afterwards.
We hope to see some of you there. And all the relevant information can be found in this thread.

Would have loved to turn up to have a looksy, but 6:30 coming from eastern suburbs... jeeze! Although its almost worth it for me if the car cleaning kit goes to the dirtiest car, i havn't cleaned my 4be since last weekend, 2 really muddy days of fun. Keep us informed when there are other meets, more interested in an inner (ish) eastern meet, the 1's at box hill work alright for us as there prob aren't as many of us and its fairly central-ish...
Anyway, keep us informed, and some of us will show!

Hi Marin.... sorry you can't make it... We'll most likely remain at Vicroad until 7.30-8.00 so you might be able to make it. We do sometimes have meets over your way also, but we find Port Melbourne is nice and central as we have people come from Geelong, Frankston, the west, east etc.
Hope you can make it, coz then you can cruise back your way with the rest of the clan.
Don't forget any other Melbournites, you're all invited, and some of our guys are very keen to check out some carputer setups.

Hi marin. It did go well. There was quite a few people there (~25) and some laughs had and some friendships made. Unfortunately there were only two completed setups there on display (mine and another guys with a 7" touchscreen running Frodo) but it was great having dinner on the street (front of pizza restaurant) and being able to talk tech
The next meet is going to be at the end of July (as mid july we're doing a Great Ocean Road weekend) and that is going to be at Spotlight carpark, on Nepean Highway in Moorabbin. I'll be sure to post it up here for those interested.
Hope to see some more mp3car'ers at that one !

Hey Guys, sorry, missed the 17th..
Julys almost finished..
My carpc is not.
My carpc status is as follows:
1 lilliput 7' touch screen on my desk.
1 HP c10 e P3 256MB, 80gb, win2k mini atx in pieces, but running, on my desk.
(considering software applications, HD bracing and hacksaw angles atm.)
1 stereo system installed in vehicle, clarion all round, apart from amps, ready and awaiting.
All cables and powersupplys ready to roll.
1 problem with how to affix and maybe stealth the screen.
1 problem with fitting this under the seat in the falcon.
1 problem with replacing the tiny CD with a DVD..
