Welcome back, Freestyler! Mankato is an awesome town. I went to MSU for 6 years. Should we see if Metties would sponsor a meet?!?! I wonder if they would give us freebees...
As far as restaging goes... Give me a few weeks. I need to get this house done.

Sept is half over, and I have a house to finish, and I just found out that i have to go to Georgia next week. I need to do some hand holding because some joker decided to release our pre-alpha software to a customer (F__K!)
Carputer's HDD is wiped, but I forgot... misplaced the code to reinstall mce. I'll figure it out eventually.
On the up side, I bought a $100 pair of noise canceling ear bud's a few months ago. I'll finally be able to test them on an airplane!

Well, I got one of them there new-fangled Sony W810i phones from Cingular. Hopefully I can hack it to give me high-speed data access on my carputer...
I can surf MP3Car.com on the phone, why not on a pc to?
Carputer is still down. OS installed, but apps are still being worked on. It's amazing how many apps I added in the past two years! Frodo has waaaay too many 3rd party requirements...
Plus, in order to reinstall it in my car, I have to connect about 50 18-ga wires. None of which are labeled. I took pics, but unless I want to spend money on printer ink, they're kind of worthless (doh!)...

Just ran into another local MP3 car forums member (freestyler) by random chance. I think its time for another meeting of some sort!
Who else is up for it?

My system is coming back on line as I type. I've had to revert to a drunken state to read the wiring diagrams (college trick - if you wrote it drunk, you can only understand it while drunk), but I think I've got it. (SDC and IR Remote circuits are custom)

I'd love to meet up with some people also interested in the hobby. I'm in Minnetonka and would love to get together with some others and swap ideas.
So is this thread dead or are people still talking about getting together?

Also while in this thread I figured some of you guys might have experienced the same problems I have with the cold. I have a 4 year old dell laptop installed in the trunk. (got it for $50) It worked great up until it got cold, now the drive wont spin up correctly.
So I ordered a Seagate ee25 series harddrive from pagecomputers.com it is supposed to work down to -30 C. has anyone else experienced problems with temperature, and if so what was your fix? Or have you guys used a ee25 or related automotive harddrives?
I should recieve mine on wed and will be furiously reinstalling when I get it.
