When are you guys meeting next? I don't have a unit yet, but it would be great to see what you guys have done to get some ideas.

I'd be interested in meeting up again, need to fix the computer though, lost a drive. I'm kind of holding off on doing much with it as I'd like to get a new Jeep in the next few months but would still like to get together again.

Wow, so I've totally ignored this forum for a while, but as fate would have it, I'm the proud owner of an Audi A4 now ..(by by explorer) so I'm doing more research, will you guys take me back?

I picked up my new (well new to me) 2003 acura cl s-type, thing is a blast to drive but the stock stereo/amp (Bose [I know it sucks]) is proving to be a real *****. I'm tempted to just yank the whole thing but well see. If anyone has seen people on this forum with an acura with the bose speaks/amp let me know b/c I cant seem to find any to ask them questions about what they did.
I'd still love to get together and chat with others.

I would suggest playing ball with the Bose system.. and adding to it... I think we have a bose in our Freestar (yes I own a minivan),
maybe I'm just getting older/more senile, I modded my last dash up like crazy, I might take it slower this time.
Anyway, I think we need a spring meetup,

Sounds good. I suggested The old Chicago in Eden Prarie. They have an open to the public heated garage which I think would be perfect for a gathering.
The problem with the bose system is that it uses 1 ohm speaks so you cant really get a aftermarket amp for it, or at least I couldnt find one. And the stock amp does not have rca inputs. The stereo actually sounds pretty good. so I'd rather not rip it out but well see. I called around and there are a few shops that could build a custom harness but they said it would be $250+ to do it. Its not that huge of a deal but it seems that their must be a better solution.

I dunno, you might be SOL, for our freestar there was a $75 aux in harness adapter...
heated garage eh... hmm.... we'll have to let it stew a bit, how long has it been since the last meet anyway?

Asuming the meet will not hold up traffic, I'll try to attend. Nothing to show, but I'd like to see everyone's setups. More specificallly, freestyler's idea of a "new" Jeep! Are you getting the new Wrangler, or a late model? Or something completely different... Like one of those pseudo or mega Cherokee's?
My current Jeep just crossed the 100k mile marker (I have pics). While it is still good for another 100k miles, I would like to give it a 6-month rest and buy something a little faster for summer travel...

New as in the 4 door Wrangler Unlimited
Probably be buying it early June I'm thinking. My Jeep has hit 147k, she runs great but I need something that has some more room in it.

I doubt I'll have mine installed, but I might have some goods to show. I got my new Audi (new to me '99 A4), I love that thing.
I figured meeting in the road would be a good way to increase group visibility and raise "awareness" of our cause.

Oooo... 4-dr unlimited... Looked a bit awkward to me at first, but it's growing on me. Spike TV made it look awesome - the video camera makes it look stockier, or something.
I just stopped by Fleet Farm today (if they don't sell it, you don't need it) and they have road hazzard cones on sale. I'll pick some up for our middle-of-the-road meet!
