Minnesota monthly gathering
I think this was brought up, and it seems we have a large community, but we've never gotten together at the same time.
I'm proposing a monthly meeting, like the 3rd saturday every month or something. With that said, I don't want our gathers to loose the excitment of past ones, much like how ice cream is good, but not everyday, you eventually don't like it. What do the others in the mid-west / minnesota area think?
The good outcome could be, we'd build some good friendships, and meet new people, and we don't always need to discuss our car-pc projects, we're all quite nerdy, we could discuss many things. I was part of the minnesota 2600 group for a while, they did similar things, and it was quite fun.
and we won't ahve to decide on a day to meet, it usually is our biggest issue.. and location.. we should proably keep the same location, expect for special events or something, that way you don't kneed to be "in the know" to show up and hang out.
ok.. so feel free to say this is stupid, and it's too fricken' cold in feburary or, just "this is stupid, your gloves are also stupid"

Sounds cool. That location is good.
I'd prefer to keep the meets spaced apart a little more - generates more interest and a larger turnout... Or I could be wrong. Worth a shot, eh? A regular meet schedule might earn us a sticky thread...

Yup.
Schedule a meet - I'll be there.
Let me test some of it out first... Wait, scratch that. I'll just give it to ya. Then you can test it. Let me take inventory and get you a list.

State fair time now! How about a state fair area meet? Say next friday?
Im sure there is a walmart parking lot or something near there.
I have another friend of mine with a carputer who would also come.

He He He...
The last meet was scheduled near the Hot Rod show. Guess where it was? Fairgrounds.
I'm up for it. (I have Friday off!) Too bad, really - I work 2 blocks from there!
North side outer ring parking lot of the Rosedale mall is a good spot... I'd prefer one of the lakes in the area, but they can become quite crowded.
Count me in. Neon_Eddy? I got stuff for ya.
Edit: PURDooM - That's one awesome tatoo! Feel free to invite her along! I also want to see your iGMod setup... I'm sick of running iGuidance in a separate window. You should post specs on your setup.

Yeah, good idea, it would be cool but I probably have to work. If I don't I'll be there.

Lol the setups too weak/gehetto right now, I need a new car and a new pair of subwoofers before ill put together a decent carputer. Right now im working with a 350 mhz PII. It was all just an experiment out of parts laying around the house; the next carputer I make will be alot more speedy and more OEM looking.

Mine isn't totally finished either, my carputer case still isn't done since I'm not sure how to go about doing it. My current case is huge and is in the way, maybe I can get some ideas when we get together.

I am also trying my hand at custom fiberglass sub enclosures for the wheel well ... it's being a bear, but I think it could still work:-)
