I think san jose would probably be best, especially if our goal is to introduce our hobby to the general population. Most amount of techie's around there i think.

Yes Fry's was great. Fun store.

I need some help coming up with a location. I’m accepting suggestions needs to be somewhere where the security or police won't break it up. I'm not all that familiar with the area.

Similar to what I said in the SoCal meet.

www.blackhawkauto.org/

If you are scheduling a group tour for a car club, please also indicate how many cars are coming, if you would like to display cars on the plaza in front of the museum or also in the lower public parking lot. 12 cars maximum will typically provide a nice display of your club cars on the museum plaza.

I may actually be in town that weekend and could attend.

Thanks for the lead. I'll give them a call when they wake up in CA.

Festival Coordinator needed

I think we need a “Festival Coordinator” that lives in the area. We are in Asia now and when we get back the phones are going to be blowing up with new product releases. This festival coordinator could be someone that is well connected in the area, it could be a car audio install shop that wants some brand name recognition or it could be just a hobbyist that wants to do something different. We can come up with some form of compensation as this will be a lot of work to get permits, schedule events and times, and do creative things to make this an unforgettable event. If you would like to do this please reply here or send me an e-mail to ziplock@mp3car.com with how you would like to proceed. Maybe someone knows a car audio install shop that would be interested?

No one stepping up?

I just got back yesterday from a huge car meet that was held at Treasure Island (between the Bay Bridge) and it has ample parking space (we had 150 cars and there was still half the parking lot open). It also has a pretty nice view
Just an idea

Not too much buzz over this, kind of dissapointing

Zip-Lock, it would really gain a lot of good attention if you put a global forum announcement about these meets. I know some people dont check these forums

Yup, but it also depends on what you are trying to put together. If you want advertising, media, etc... You can not do it in a few months. Plannng a car show takes alot of preperation.

Now, if any of you Northern Cali guys just want to meet up that is easy. I will find a place. Just list where you are from so I can figure out a middle ground, set a date and its done!

Part of the reason we haven’t pushed this event hard is because we need someone local to organize things. We just got back from Asia a few days ago and have already been to two cities here on the east coast for different meetings. Our breakneck pace combined with geographical separation makes it hard. We need help. Maybe we should hire someone who lives in California.
