I am first year engineering, and I would like to specialize in oil and gas engineering.

I am curious, hussein, how are you dealing with the Calgary cold with your carputer? It has not yet reached -30, but I am already worried for my setup.

i hope to fix it this x-mas holidays when I go home to visit my family, because I don't have a garage in Calgary.

edit: oh, and on a side note, i personally am not dealing well with the cold whether, hahaha.

I know this thread is old...but I was hoping you guys could give some advice.

It got down to -45C this winter, and my k301 refuses to work below -5C. I am considering to get a new screen, but Id like to know your guy's experience with what screen will work in our calgary winters. What screens do you guys have? I realize it will be dim in the cold..but how readable is it? Also...does the touchscreen still work in the cold?

I am hoping for a screen that will perform well in the cold+easy to fit in my double DIN (I have never fabricated anything before). I might go headunitless, so making my carpc reliable is pretty important.
