WHAT:
First ever CarPCTexas.org gathering.
(If we come up with a cooler name, we'll let you know!)
WHO:
Anyone who's interested in vehicle computing regardless of age, experience level, installation status, gender, religion, political leanings or waist size.
WHEN:
Sunday, March 12, 2006
1:00pm until we all get bored and go home
WHERE:
Josey Ranch Sports Complex
1440 Keller Springs Rd
Carrollton, TX 75006
HOW (do I get there):
You can click on the link in the WHERE section to get to Google maps for directions. That's the easiest, since there are so many possible locations people could be coming from.
Feel free to PM or email me for directions, and I'll be glad to help you out.
From I-35E, you want to exit Whitlock Rd. and go east. It will change to Keller Springs. Go past Denton Dr. and Josey Ranch Sports Complex will be on the right. Go into the first entrance by the ballfields. We'll be somewhere in the back toward the lake.
From I-635 (LBJ Freeway), you want to get off at Josey Lane and go north. Turn left onto Keller Springs. Josey Ranch Sports Comples will be on the left. Go past the first entrance with the lighted LED sign and the buildings and go in the second entrance by the ballfields. We'll be somewhere in the back toward the lake.
WHY:
If this needs to be answered for you, then you're probably not going to show up.
The parks probably don't allow glass bottles. If you want to bring food, that's your perogative and you're entirely on your own.
I don't know the policy on alcoholic beverages, so leaving them at home or in your cooler is probably a good idea. If the adults among us want to drink, we can always go to a bar or someplace appropriate.
This is a public park, and we certainly don't want our first gathering to achieve a bad reputation.
I will post any more information here as it becomes available.
