Got my sound problems fixed Got a half-decent USB soundcard (Zalman ZM-RSSC). No more interference thank god.
Does anyone have wireless internet access that will be attending?

Unfortunately I will have nothing to show this time
But I'm eager to discuss ideas with others, add my input to help others out, and see what other people have done with their CarPc's.
My DC-DC died, and after waiting 2 weeks for a replacement (.... but still nothing) Ive pulled my entire stereo/PC out to make some major changes that I had been planning on doing anyway. I was hoping the unit would arrive in time for a quick rebuild - but alas!

Yeah 12 midday. Will hang around for a hour or two and check out some of the computers. Unfortunately my new touch screen hasn't come so I'm gonna have to revert back to the bog standard psx controllers for the time being..
I have wireless but only a router. No AP in the car. So Unless you wanna run adhoc mode wireless probably won't happen.
I posted up on Car Audio Australia so hopefully there will be some people on there who will attend as well.

I've got some spare yagi wireless antennas if anyone wants to buy some off me. They are directional wireless antennas that can be used with a wireless lan. I have about 2 of them. I think they are 18db rated. If anyone wants to buy one off me I can bring them along with me. They come complete sealed in a weatherproof pvc tube and coaxial tail. Will sell them for $50 each to anyone who wants one. They got a mean range on them. Easily will travel 10KM. These antennas are often used with wireless internet services. I aolso got 1 big arse omni-directional wireless antenna as well. Also in a pvc weatherproof tube. That's about a meter tall and has a higher power output. I will sell that if anyone wants it for $100. Cheap if you know what it is i'm selling or is interested in setting up a wireless node.
See ya's at 12.

Hey thanks to all who turned up. We had about 12 people in total at the meet which was about the same as last time. Got to see some cool setups and put a lot of expensive ideas in people's heads.. hehe.. Including me. We had people come from as far as Berwick and even Chelsea! Good to see those who will travel a little bit.
Next meet will be in November so start working on your setups. Next meet will be bigger hopefully than last time and not as the same place due to the sporting events that are held there.
