the lot is the corner of red gum ln and magnolia ln. once on kellogg drive, turn towards the big pointy building at the stop light. its the parking lot right after the parking structure they are building. it will be the first "drive way", but not street, about 200 feet from the stop sign (from memory.)

thats the entrance to the parking lot, once you enter the lot, we will most likely be off to your right.

I say we should go for the 19th.... my car may be painted by then. I don't think I'll have my car on the 12th
Location.... elsewere. I don't know were... but I didn't like the idea of paying $10 for a one day visit to the beach.

well i think somewhere within 10-15 miles of the beach is a great idea, as its going to be sweltering anywhere else.
ill look at some places this weekend. might even drive out there and scout out some places, tho it is a long drive and gas prices are creeping up once again.

I liked the location we had last time. $10 wasn't too bad, and the drive from San Diego via the Toll Road was easy. Either date is fine for me (as of now). Maybe I'll actually make some progress on my setup before then... LOL.

added that you can vote for all, 3, 2 or 1 of the options, just to make it clear.
i like huntington beach, but we really need somewhere where we can rope off a section out of the way with enough space to bbq and have all the cars, maybe even a demo.
and maybe, just maybe, ill have my 4runner by then.

I'd say the 19th as well... should have my gay sunfire install done by then. The 12th is just too close man. What's the weather like mid august near the beach?
Same place or new place, I don't mind either. Just make sure it's big enough that I'll see it...

I've been down at HB the last two weekends and if things remain the same, the chance of finding parking for a large group is close to ZERO unless you get there very early. Not sure what things will be like in August but just wanted to give the heads up.

Is this a mid day lunch bbq kinda thing? It's gonna be hard finding parking anywhere. Can't wait to see the whips though, I couldn't make the last one.

yea, as the last was, probably start between 12 and 2.
speaking of whips, i might have some on the truck if i have it in time and install a cb in it!
as for a location. we could do it at cal poly pomona (waits for the SD'ers to cry). those parking lots are empty, and as long as we dont race around i dont think they care too much about us being there. no charge for parking on saturday.
Cal Poly is about 35 mins from downtown LA, 15 from the 605 freeway at the 10. 2 hours from SD.
this is my suggestion, because i know the area and havent heard much from the SD'ers this time. i dont feel like driving 2 hours to go where ever we have it this time.
we will vote on locations soon!! so get em in!

I will probably be able to make it. I'm not too happy about the whole Pomona thing... but what can I do... It would actually take me like 3-3.5 hours to gfet there since I'm like the furthest south in S.D. than anyone...
Peace,
Rafster
19th would probably be better for me, but I can probably do any of the 2 dates...
