If worst comes to worst, the parking garage at work will probably be empty and I don't think any security drives through it.
I work in Fairfax right off of Rt. 50 near Fair Oaks Mall.

LOL
Turkey Run looks good and would be a good central location, since we have folk coming from an hour north, south and I think west of DC. If someone has a grill and doesn't mind bringing it, we could have a lil cookout too. That'd be sweet Post your ideas/suggestions

Well, I'm thinking I will be at the meet anyway. Going to Orange means six hours of driving and spending all day on that, 6am to 8pm, plus the cost of gas, plus changing the wheels, and I'm getting married in a week so I'm busy and I'm broke and I can't afford car repairs right now... and I really do want that inverter from Shawn So... I guess I will see you guys Saturday. :] Heh. So... Great Falls? Turkey Run? Some parking garage?
About rallycross:
I did two points events last year at the Orange rallycross. It was a blast, but it was a total 10 minutes of racing surrounded by six hours of driving and a couple of standing in the sun with a flag and a radio. Bring sunblock. Plus it's usually $75 for non-SCCA-members. The school might get you more track-time if you just want to have fun and learn, and it's cheap.

Here's a video of the last event... not my music choice...

Here's a video of part of one of my runs... great music

I actually put the webcam over the rear seats to record rallycross videos with the CarPC. I...um... haven't tried it out that way yet tho...

Gonna have to miss this one guys as Wifey is dragging me to some horsey event. I guess if I can drag her to carputer events she ought to be able to drag me to horsey events. I hope you guys have fun.
Nice video, Cobase, though I still can't understand how someone could trash their main vehicle that way.

Has anyone been around the Tysons area recently? Is the traffic as bad as we are expecting? It's coming up!

I'm more of a homebody, so I don't have much in the way of suggestions, plus I only venture to VA for these meets. Let me know where though and i'll let the CarPC be my guide. We are coming down to crunch time though. On a personal note I was really hoping to have my upgrades installed by saturday, but it's not looking too good. I hope the weather cooperates as well.

Fearless Leader?!!? LOL Just who might that be?
To be honest I don't know if the traffic is 'that' bad out there yet, cuz the only time I'm out that way is for the meets, or if I'm running to MicroCenter in FairFax off Route50. I've just been seeing news segments on it and how bad it's going to be getting, but nothing on the current conditions. If we have good wether (forecast of 70 and sunny), it would be nice to do it at Great Falls... away from the 'city', a chance to hit up the grills, etc. If we do go with Great Falls and we're planning on a cookout, we need to nail this down, cuz I'll have to be there early to ensure we can lay claim to a grill.. lol (unless we can bring out own... I'm not really sure about that. park page). We'll have to figure out food, etc as well. Let's figure this out folks... hope to see everyone there.
BE THERE! (so says the fearless leader) lol

Edit: Here's a list of what I think we'll need:
Burgers
Dogs/brats
Buns/condiments
chips & dips
soda/drinks
plates/cutlery
charcoal
lighter fluid/foil
...I'd like to volunteer the burgers, anyone else that wants can post as to their contribution, or make suggestions otherwise? This way, people can just grab a line item from the list and post that they're bringing it, first post of that item is obligated. That, and we should designate Friday evening as the last to make changes/announce that you are coming and/or bringing food, so if we bring a few extra plates worth for stragglers, we won't end up sending anyone home with an empty belly and/or pounds of food they bought but can't use.

Either location is cool with me. If we don't have a grille, I guess it has to be Great Falls. Is this going to be a ~ 2:30pm lunch, or should we move it up about an hour?

I can bring like cold pepsi and diet pepsi cans. I know nothing about burger meat except that I like to eat it.
