I'll Show You Mine, If You'll Show Me Yours...
Killing off a Saturday.
I thought it was a good meet. Lostreception is to be applauded for pushing this one through to a successful meeting, especially with such a lousy weather forecast. It must be like herding cats.
My wife and I drove down from Poughkeepsie (2 hr drive), picked up coffee and donuts (cold, drizzly day) and ran the Corona Park maze near Flushing, close by New York City. Noone was there when we arrived, but we quickly made contact with shot598, and then turbocad6 and anky1. These talented young men willingly offered up good advice for making adjustments to my RoadRunner/DigitalFX/iGuidance installation which led to an immediate increase in our enjoyment of these fine products. And, we had the chance to admire shot's beautiful installation in his Acura. We were soon joined by several others, including rationalpi and lostreception. I apologize for not getting everyone's handle. There was pizza, soda, chips, coffee, donuts, and, eventually, a light drizzle.
I think it was a day well spent. I recommend these local gatherings to other newbies as a fine opportunity to pick the brains of those who have gone before. I certainly appreciated the opportunity to meet and talk with these knowledgeable and generous guys.
