yo! my carputer should be fully functional by then! i hope! ...i'm up in Gainesville so I might be able to make it to this meet (would be my first car meet ) ...just wondering what goes on at these kinda things? everyone parks there car and just looks around at other people's? It would just seem like a bit of a waste to drive 2 hours, hang around in orly for half an hour and drive 2 hours home :-/

That's exactly what happens except it usually last several hours and sometime during the event we'll have lunch and some drinks. I'm hoping this time we'll have a swapshop and maybe some hands on work for anyone needing help with their setup.
My advise to everyone is throw whatever you are not currently using (hd's, cd drives, displays,memory,CABLES....) into a box and bring it with you, there may be someone who needs what you have and is willing to pay for it.
Also, it always helps to bring a usb drive to share music and videos..

usually the meets last for like 5 hours or so. Last meet was kinda short, only maybe 3 or 4 hours, because it was so damn cold.

ok i have a cable that will work, the only thing is compared to the pic is the cable i have has the black connection on both ends, but it does work I have been using it for testing with my opus 150. If you are interested, pm me so i can send it to you.

Well you say a power switch cable my friend ... if you tell me how many "holes" the white plastic connector has, I can see if I have it and send you one (you just have to cut the momentary switch out and that's it)
Thanatos.

It was only "3 to 4" hours, as that is when you said your goodbye's, and left 5 or 6 of us were there till just after 9:00PM or so, making it an 8 hour get together!
